SCALA1 3-45 Booster Pump

This is pump works great I have bought 6 in the last year they work like a champ when you have low water pressure!!

This scala 1 replaced our scala 2. It's doing a fine job 1 month in. Our 2 was leaking internally in less than 3 years. Seems to be a typical problem with the 2, so giving this one a try! It is actually quieter, which has been a nice suprise as well :•) Easy to install and set up. The bluetooth connection is a nice feature as well. Good luck water warriors ;•)

installed easy and worked perfect for 3 months then one day it wouldn't start. I reset the pump and it started working again but this time with a loud grinding sound when it runs. Pre-filter was not dirty. Grundfos has not responded to my complaint. Product is supposed to be warranted for at least a year

We were looking for a remotely controlled water pump to supply our house from our water tank. This new Scala 1 pump has been fantastic. The bluetooth control makes it so simple to turn the pump on and off as needed without going outside in the weather or in the dark of night. Pull it up on your phone, connect to the pump in the app and click start, that's all there is to it! We took the advice of one of the seller videos and also purchased flexible 1" stainless tubing so the new connection only took about 10 minutes and we were up and running. Would definitely buy this again if we ever need it but Grundfos pumps last a very long time.

It works, and had actually lowered in price. However the connections had changed from the one I had before, so it was a while before I could put it to use. I had to buy multiple adjusting attachments before I could hook it up.

pump performs as advertised and is super quiet. Would purchase again if needed.

This is the tankless water heater of water pumps. It removes the constant holding of water in pressure to control your plumbing. Turn on the faucet and after a short flow of medium pressure water, the pump will kick in and send water at your pressure of choice. Also the item has an app that lets you know if you have a pin leak going on or if the upstairs bathroom toilet did not flush right and is constantly running.

UPDATE: This was caused by a glitch in the Amazon page: Amazon wanted us to work with the distributor (Fresh Water Systems) but Amazon's page would only direct us to Grundfos. Grundfos sent us to the distributor, FWS, who insisted they could only help us if we went thru Amazon, who sent us back to Grundfos, etc. etc. We finally spoke to a customer service rep at FWS, Alida Deyoung, who took charge and broke the loop after about 10 days of chasing our tails. She very quickly used the info we provided and shipped us another pump. That pump failed on the day of installation! So we called Ms Deyoung and she immediately shipped another pump, the newer model (we did pay the difference). It's installed and running perfectly. The problem did not lie with FWS; the problem was with Amazon's designation of Grundfos and Grundfos's refusal to handle the problem. So we heartily recommend FWS and send heartfelt kudos to Ms Deyoung! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Pump worked well for 7 months, then developed a leak at the pump assembly point (not at intake or output). Will not run at all. Amazon says call Grundfos, Grundfos says call the distributor, distributor says call Amazon, Amazon says call Grundfos, etc, etc. Apparently NOBODY is interested in honoring the warranty. Our previous Grundfos pump worked well for 5 years. So the problem is the REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Scala1 3-45 Used it to replace my 12 year old GRUNDFOS pump. Unfortunately GRUNDFOS have changed the fitting location so not a drop in installation. I also don't like the literature with it- very little useable info- had to find an installation manual on-line. For instance there is a three position "PERFORMANCE" setting located inside that should be checked (I turned mine to positive I/P pressure). A bigger issue was the pump initially just hummed loudly and the lights dimmed- the motor was stuck! The instalation Manual mentioned how to turn the motor over w a screw driver and now it is purring. UPDATE- for several days it would just hum instead of pumping. I had to give it a turn w the screwdriver every time. I was going to return it after Xmas but it is now working perfectly. I suspect the switch for the start capacitor was stuck open. Maybe my tapping the unit free’d it up.
