A quick and easy way to 'upgrade' your TV
This android set top box is a relatively cost effective way of turning an old TV into essentially a smart TV or adding such features to a monitor or other display; provided your OK with somewhat awkward menus and inability to install certain apps (vast majority of streaming apps are available, but your milage may vary). General usage is relatively simple and straightforward, and if you've ever used a smart TV, set top box or equivalent, you'll have no trouble navigating the system and menus. If you want to make the experience significantly easier for yourself, connect a wireless mouse and keyboard to the device for dramatically easier input and navigation. The UI and OS are both quite awkward and cumbersome to navigate, primarily because the OS is an android mobile variant, but once you're used to the system and appreciate the price of the unit, I think it's reasonable.

It's ok but software issues
So this is my 5th TV box over the years. Few things to note. It's running Android 9 from 2018. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to update playstore + playstore services and others with no luck. I get around two thirds and get a failed message. Playstore doesn't work very well, doesn't give me the option to install and the pro apps I have keep asking me to pay again.(never had this before) and doesn't allow me to update any apps. So I've ended up installing APK mirror + pure to keep things upto date. I have tried to update the software for the box and android but am told I'm upto date. No root permissions either and I can't be bothered to figure out how to root the patch Job on the software. However good things are 5g works well. Quick and responsive Picture is good Remote is good quality Time display on the front

You only get what's already available on new smart tvs

runs android 9 i believe so app compatability can be tricky , remote leaves a lot to be desired . have had no problems with the android box but its just not gonna win any awards
