Comfort (5/5): From the first wear, the shoes felt supportive without being stiff. The cushioning around the ankles and the breathable lining kept my feet cool and blister-free, even on longer treks. I didnโt even need a break-in period โ they were trail-ready right out of the box. Durability (5/5): Iโve taken these on rocky trails, muddy paths, and through shallow streams, and theyโve held up like champs. The build quality is solid โ stitching, soles, and laces are all rugged and feel like theyโll last a long time. The reinforced toe area gives me confidence on uneven terrain. Traction (5/5): The grip on these shoes is phenomenal. Whether I was climbing steep inclines or navigating wet surfaces, the tread pattern kept me steady and secure. This has made a huge difference, especially on slick or gravel-covered trails. Style (4.5/5): They look great for hiking boots โ rugged but not bulky. Iโve even worn them casually without looking out of place. A small bonus for anyone who cares about form and function. Value (5/5): For the price, these shoes offer outstanding quality. Iโve owned pricier brands that didnโt perform half as well. Ryno Gear clearly prioritizes quality and performance without the steep price tag. If youโre looking for hiking shoes that combine comfort, durability, and grip at a great value, I highly recommend Ryno Gear. Theyโve quickly become my go-to pair for both weekend hikes and more serious trails. Review: Better than expected - So I ordered these bad boys to increase my masculinity. I had spoken to my doctor about transitioning from female to male when he informed me I had been a male my entire life and just needed to be more manly. I thanked him and left him at the shelter with his roommates. I figured some facial hair would help so I grew a pretty nice mustache in only a few days. I got home and looked for some boots and saw the reviews on these and figured I would give it a shot. After rummaging through the couch that my rear had been parked on since the bank bailout I found nothing of value except a few Cheetos, a remote, and someone's keys. The Cheetos tasted like new. I resorted to selling plasma and sneaking some adult beverages to my doctor and his friends for a profit. I placed the order and away we went. Upon receipt of the box I instantly opened them up and to my surprise, the laces were already tied. This saved me time from getting someone else to do it for me. I unzipped the sides and put them on and then the magic began. They were great fitting and very comfortable. I stroked my mustache and let out a hearty laugh while rubbing my gut. I had a desire to start a campfire and almost completed it until my roommate reminded me of our security deposit. So now I have a 90% complete campfire in the den. My facial hair growth increased enough for me to realize my original mustache was nose hair and was no longer needed. I began watching survival shows like they were for beginners. I bought an ax and began chopping firewood in case we ever used the campfire. The HOA showed up and wanted to press charges for vandalism of the trees but they were intimidated by my boots no doubt so they dropped it. In all seriousness, these are a great purchase. They fit great, felt great and look great. They even gave me some socks which I can only assume will be great as well. The price is much cheaper than similar styles but the boots themselves aren't cheap. I hope they continue to remain a great find for me as I wear them for a while. If you are on the fence go ahead and gives these a shot.

6" summer weight boot
They appear to be well made, as good as military issue. Lite weight, but solid outsole, the insole is firm but comfortable. The pair of socks that came with them are excellent. I will be buying a couple pair of those. The only reason I didn't give them a five is that I haven't had the opportunity to test their longevity, maybe a later review, either up or down.

Exceptional value for the money.
UPDATE: I still love these boots. Was welding yesterday, 3-31-2021. Started a small grass fire from a spark. Flames weren't 5-6 inches in height and total size approximately 7x12 inches around. It stomped out quickly. Noticed this morning apparently my boots must have melted a bit putting out the fire. I've had 5 pair of these since the initial review. And still love em. and I weld all the time. first time this has happened. I started wearing this pair around the 03-10-2021. Very comfortable boot. Almost feel like walking in walking shoe. I have been wearing them for a week. Quality appears to be better than many boots on the market. For 15 years I've only bought sketchers. Within a month the sketchers are falling apart. The last several years I've barely gotten 3 months out of 2 pairs of their comparable work boot. The free pair of socks was unexpected. The socks are great. There thick and absorbent. Will definitely buy another pair or 2, so I can rotate thru the work week.

Boots for hiking & Half-Size issue
First I would like to say, I have never owned a pair of boots before. I was looking for boots to hike in (I know these aren't really specified as hiking boots, but I finished watching a show about the military and thought Combat Boots looked pretty cool, so I compromised and got these instead of actual military regulation boots or actual hiking boots) so I ordered these, and they came in today. The shipping was very fast. They gave me a date range of when my boots would likely show up at the door, and I got it on the first day of the range (about 5 days from ordering). My expectations of boots was that they would be very heavy and uncomfortable. The boot doesn't really feel too heavy, maybe 2-3 times the weight of my Nike running shoes, but I was amazed at the comfort! It feels very comfortable to just stand in these. The downfall of these boots, is that they don't come in half sizes. However, they do give you a pair of fairly thick socks, and these do help with the size difference. I am normally a 9.5 but I ordered a 10. I would say with the socks the boot is still a little on the looser side, but if I tie it up pretty tight and wear thick socks it is definitely wearable, and I don't think I'll be getting any blisters. The zippers on these boots are made pretty well and don't feel cheap. They zip up without much struggle and definitely make putting the boots on very fast. I would say that I am a pretty big fan of them. I am taking these out to hike over the weekend, so I will post updates afterwards. Otherwise I highly recommend these boots. **update** Took these babies on hike in whistler Canada! The ground I was trekking through was mostly gravel and wood terrain. The support was real nice. I wore these from morning to evening and my feet did not hurt. Highly recommend.

A good and reasonably priced boot.
I just recd the shoes today. They are very comfortable and fit as expected. I had previously ordered this same style shoe from Reebok. The Reebok was twice as expensive, didnot fit as well. The side zipper on the Reebok was too straight up and down, which made putting the shoe on as difficult as not having a side zip. Also, the tongue on the reebok was so long and over padded that my pants would not go down over the shoes. I see that reebok has now corrected this. For my money the Ryno Gear seems to be a great shoe. We will see how they wear.

Ryno gear
You will probably see reviews which say these are good boots for the price. That isn't correct. They are the best boots at two or three times the price. I liked to wear boots on work or off work rain or snow and muddy and they are light not to heavy on your foot. Comfortable out of the box, they seem to be well made out of quality components. The thing I like best is that they really let your feet breathe. Haven't had the chance to evaluate the durability or how they handle weather conditions such as rain, snow and mud. Tomorrow I will wear this boots to see how they handle outside and all day and night I'll be outside splitting wood lol
