Fantastic Product, Durable Construction
Great trigger, would recommend with anyone looking to trigger their kick drum. Pairs absolutely no problem with Roland TM-2

Works better than the Roland one I tried.
I bought this after using a Roland rim-mounted trigger. That trigger left a gap about the thickness of a sheet of paper between the foam cone and the mesh head. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to trigger accurately and consistently unless I jammed something between the bottom of the housing and the side of the drum to force it to "lean in" toward the drum and contact the head. I tried this Yamaha trigger and there is NO problem with the foam contacting the head. Also, I like the metal housing a little bit better. I use regular triple-flanged metal hoops on my drums, so I don't know why the Roland trigger didn't work for me. The Yamaha trigger is accurate and consistent and functions well after fine-tuning my drum module settings.

DT50K for Snare Input and DT50S for Kick Input
BUYER BEWARE! Yamaha’s DT50 design is unusable for the DTX502, DTX700, and DTX-Multi12 modules. For these modules, Yamaha requires the DT50S Snare trigger to be plugged into the Kick input on the module and the DT50K Kick trigger to be plugged into the Snare input. This is a backwards design and requires reprogramming every single drum set built into the module.I brought this issue to the attention of Yamaha customer service (case 03289818) and their response was that I should reprogram all of the 50+ built in drum sets and if I ever switched back to drum pads (instead of triggers), to then reprogram the 50+ built in drum sets back again. This is just too much work for me and I suspect most other drummers. As such, this trigger is now a $100 paperweight.

Great sound and effects
Trigger offers great sound and effects, I use it with the EAD10 and record covers to share with other musicians and my drum coach. Everyone thinks my snare always sounds great. I drum mostly to rock and metal but also Afro/Cuban, Latin and Nordic Folk music.

The Best Drum Triggers
Compared to some less expensive dtx-redshot sensors these are better in pretty much every imaginable way. The build-quality is insanely high. The multi-zone trigger is great for rim-shots. These triggers are super sensitive, and also super quick and easy to set up. My favorite part is the all metal chrome housing. If you ever accidentally hit one of these full-on with a stick, it would probably just break your stick and be fine.

Used with EAD10
I think this trigger paired with my EAD10 sounded pretty bad, I wanted a slight boost from my snare, the effects sounded cheap. Returned right away.
