Works perfectly to hook up my Sony handycam to my MacBook. Need the capture card in addition. Note: s-video is just that - video, not sound. So be sure to hook up s-video AND RCA (sound) cables both. The A/V out from handycam is both but splits out into S-video and sound separately.
