Firestar's Quest (Warriors Super Edition) Review: Good read for entertainment especially if you love cats. - One of the better in the Warrior series. Good storyline of what Firestar did on his adventure. Review: Love the Warriors books - Love the Warriors books! The life of the feral cat clans is beautifully depicted. While not every detail of clan life can be scientifically accurate, if cats could live in the wild as if they were humans, this is absolutely how they would do it! This is the first of the Warriors Super Edition books I have read. I’m not sure if this is true for all the Super Edition books, but this one seems to serve in some measure as a sort of bridge between the Original Series and the follow-up New Prophecy series. After weathering incredible obstacles in the Original Series, Firestar is now the Clan Chief of ThunderClan, but he is still learning the job. He doesn’t have an official mate (I’m not sure if the Clan cats ever actually officially mate at all), but he and Sandstorm have grown close. Ever sensitive to dreams and the messages they may contain, Firestar is troubled when he begins having dreams of a cat Clan he has never heard of. But he is really scared when Smudge, a kittypet who used to live next door to Firestar in his kittypet days, comes into the ThunderClan camp, scared by a dream of his own. They consult Cinderpelt, the Medicine Cat, and some of the Elders, including some in other tribes. It appears that there was indeed another cat Clan in the forest, and their territory was where the group of houses where Firestar and Smudge used to live is now. Another dream reveals to Firestar how none of the current Clans of the forest were willing to give up any of their territory when this lost Clan – Skyclan – asked, and in consequence, Skyclan wound up exiled from the forest to make their way elsewhere. When the ghost of the ancient Skyclan repeatedly asks Firestar for help in his dreams, he determines that he must make up for the earlier injustice and seek out whatever remains of Skyclan to see what he can do to right that wrong. Most notably, he asks Sandstorm to come with him. Leaving Firestar’s deputy, Graystripe, in charge temporarily, they set out, following a nearby river upstream until it fizzles out in an area lined by cliffs with little caves in them – perfect for cat dens! But there is almost no trace of Skyclan. They eventually encounter one solitary and slightly hostile cat who spends many evenings watching the moon from the cliffs above the beginnings of the little stream. He finally confesses to belonging to Skyclan, and he tells them what happened to it. They decide to rebuild Skyclan. But it isn’t easy. Most of the former members of the Clan who are still alive are now kittypets in houses in the area. The rest are rogue cats living by themselves. Just getting them to agree to talk about rebuilding Skyclan is next to impossible. When they do get a few cats to agree to a meeting, they discover that Firestar and Sandstorm will have to train them in every aspect of Clan life, from how to hunt their own food to the hierarchy of a Clan and the rules that make Clan life run smoothly. And it wouldn’t be possible to have a Warriors novel without a dangerous enemy that appears impossible to overcome. In this case, it’s a large barn full of deadly rats. It takes all their training and the cooperation of every cat in the neighborhood to contain this menace, never mind defeat them. But, as usual, there is a heavy cost for their victory. Not all the neighborhood cats finally join the Clan after the battle, but most of them remain reasonably friendly after that point. Firestar is confident enough in them that he can appoint Clan leaders, and he has the remaining members of the new Clan approve his choices before he leaves them in charge while he and Sandstorm return to ThunderClan.

Firestar's Quest
All of the books that I have read so far in this series have been excellent! I was hooked from the very beginning and could hardly wait to purchase and download each one. I particularly liked the character Firestar and his willingness to try to get along even with the other clans that weren't always so willing to work together. I thoroughly enjoyed the other characters in his clan as well, but as the younger characters were introduced, there was less of Firestar. When I saw this book, I knew I'd have another chance to enjoy my favorite character and quickly purchased it on my Kindle. I have been purposely taking my time to read this particular book, relishing every moment and every detail. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series to anyone that loves cats. It has been true to the nature of cats in general and highly imaginative. I'm an adult that loves to read, but kids would love this series as well and there's nothing objectionable for them to read. Many thanks!!!

Can't Put it Down
This is a superb read and an excellent compliment to the 1st series of Warriors books. I read the entire 500+ pages within a week and then read it again about a week later. While not quite as good as the 1st 6 books in the series, I still found it hard to put down and wanted to see more and more of Firestar's journey. My only complaints would be that it doesn't have as many action sequences as the original series, it's more of a tale of a journey and a bond that forms between the two main characters Firestar and Sandstorm. While the journey kept me turning from page to page, I personally wanted to see more of the characters interacting with their clanmates before and after the journey. In fact, once the main climax is reached in the book, there is maybe 5-10 pages left to conclude the story. I could have used another 20-30 pages to wrap everything up. That being said, there are moments where I laughed out loud and times when I wanted to cry, which proves how great a read this was. I'm currently re-reading all of the Warriors' books I own, 17, and will read Firestar's quest for the 3rd time and I will love every minute of it.

Para leer después del arco de los 4 clanes, previo al arco de la nueva profecía. La historia está bien ambientada y lo terminas en un rato.

Out of all the books the Erins have written, this one is the best. It has all the elements a book needs to have. It shows the interior confusion Firestar has in his head. He starts tghinking how his life would have been if he had stayed as a kittypet. At the same time, he has to decide between going to rebuild SkyClan and listen to Cloudstaror staying in ThunderClan. We can also see the death of Rainfur, Skywatcher and poor Willowpelt. There are alo a few flashbacks in the story and we can discover a few things about the origins of ThunderClan and SkyClan...It has plenty of action, and it even has a lesson... No matter where you come from, you can always change and be useful in a Clan. Many rogues and kittypets are introduced in this story: Boris and Cherry, Scratch, Leaf, Hutch, Patch, Clover, Rock, Tiny, Bounce, Petal, Rainfur, Sky, Echo, Sage and Mint. All of these end up with warrior names: Sparrowpelt and Cherrytail, Sharpclaw, Leafstar, Shortwhisker, Patchfoot, Clovertail, Rockshade, Tinycloud, Bouncefir, Petalnose, Skywatcher, Echosong, Sagenose and Mintfur. Firestar's Quest didn't even miss the romance between Firestar and Sandstorm! Sandstorm is a very strong she-cat, and is shown to be way more important in Firestar's life than before... She was a great SkyClan mentir and deputy, and she is so committed to do anything for her mate... Oh and wiw the ending... These two lovebirds having kits... Simply WOW!!! I'm impressed Cherith has done all of this in only 540 pages.
