StatGear Pocket Samurai Folding Tanto Micro Knife - Slipjoint Edition | Small EDC Mini Knife | Gray

I bought this pocket because I want a knife that will fit within some blade-size parameters for an upcoming trip. I’m very satisfied the knife is up to every day carry, reasonable cutting chores, etc. I’ve been carrying this knife for a few months. So far I have no complaints, no concerns. As I mentioned in the title, this Statgear Pocket Samurai is a slip joint. For those looking for a locking blade, Statgear does offer frame locking Pocket Samurai models. I’ve also purchased a couple of those, in Red and bronze. And I also have great confidence in those knives. Sturdy, sharp, light, extremely compact, and hopefully security checkpoint friendly (not for air travel, as there is absolutely no commercial air travel friendly blade size).

I of course don't recommend if you carry this as a daily and leave your personal knife at home however, the knife has helped me countless of times when needing it. I clip this bad boy on my lanyard and go about my day. When in need, I know i'll always have a knife. Build quality is surprisingly good, no blade wobble, smooth opening mechanism, etc. Overall would recommend this just for the convince sake. Carrying it around on a lanyard or pocket feels like nothing at all.

This is my second Pocket Samurai Sword, my first one had a lock on it, and I assumed this would too, but it doesn't. Taking off one star because I was opening a box with multiple layers of tape, the knife folded in on itself pretty easily and I almost cut myself. This is no problem, I thought, I'll just remember to be more careful with this one. However this proved to be a little difficult because since I had my other pocket samurai sword for many years, my brain just goes to use this one and I keep forgetting it doesn't have a locking mechanism, especially since they feel exactly the same to handle. So, just a random thing to consider for other buyers that might be a safety issue. My brain just straight up keeps forgetting this version other of my pocket knife needs to be handled way more carefully.

Honestly I got this because I wanted a nano blade but for a good price. I didn’t think it would be much you know “what it’s worth” but this blade is amazing. It’s genuinely a light weight knife and when I opened it I tested it it by cutting a paper in half. It’s extremely sharp and looks amazing!!

Pretty cool little knife, real sharp right out of the box. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a lock mechanism, which is quite the drawback and it’s already broken. I might have had it for six months.

the knife is very sharp. it’s easy to open but could be better in that department. you have to like pull it slowly so you don’t cut ur self bc it takes a bit of strength

Unfortunately I just had to throw mine away at a concert venue but its been a trusty little letter and package opener. I'm glad I was able to find them again and they even have more colors available.
