Good quality tarte ring.
Well made and rigide. Used it once, happy with the purchase.

worth it
This tart ring is a little pricey, but I believe that it is worth the price. The quality is good, and the smooth flat sides elevate the look of your tart. I used mine with a silpat and very lightly buttered and floured the sides and the tart released surprisingly easily from the ring.

Can't believe I found this tart ring!
Having recently purchased Paul Hollywood's "100 Breads," I was perusing and drooling, wondering what my first make would be. Then I reached the last few pages of the book on my Kindle. Oh, my! In front of me was a gorgeous Normandy Apple Tart. I simply HAD to make this, but it required a large embroidery hoop-like tart ring. Having never, ever seen one in a retail setting, I wondered where in the heck I'd find one. It took nearly 2 full, yes, FULL days, and I nearly gave up, but buried within layers of searches was a link to an obscure Amazon category. Previously, I had hit up Amazon looking for this ring, but to no avail. I'm sure glad I stayed with it, as the crenelated tart pans are of absolutely no use here, as strength is required in the perimeter of this tart and none can be provided with a crenelated tart pan (and I have 6 crenelated tart pans). I love my new French tart ring. Yay!

Love it!
This ring is perfect for tarts! Easy to use and just the right size for a delicious treat. This is the first tart I made with this ring (I used Julia Child’s tart recipe.)Clean up is a breeze and I store it on a hook that is conveniently located with my baking stuff. I suppose one could also store it in a drawer but I find that when I see it, I am tempted to make more tarts. Yum!

Came warped
Unfortunately, this one arrived warped. Bought also a different size which was perfect.

Received 6.5", not 9.5".
The quality is great and exactly what I was hoping for, but the item I received was a 6.5" (16 cm), not a 9.5" (24 cm). I don't know if they just sent me the wrong size, or if the wrong size was listed in the description.

It's a classic
This pastry item is starting to get harder and harder to find, thank you to sellers on amazon who still carry it and make it available to the public. As the pastry industry is veering away to making tarts and more outlets are just buying them from purveyors, classic and reliable tools like these are becoming more rare and a bit pricey. Not to mention that kids coming out of culinary school don't really know how to use them anymore either. But pastry professionals, novice or expert, need to know the basics and have strong fundamentals, so this item is a must for any pastry lover.

No more soggy bottoms
Discovered flan rings while on a cooking course no more soggy bottoms. Roll out your pastry between two pieces of cling film then drop it over the ring onto baking parchment supported on a baking tray.
