VibraCool Shortens Recovery Time
I am a 57 year-old male that leads an active lifestyle. I run regularly and when I returned from a snow skiing trip earlier this year I developed knee pain in my left knee. The pain was significant enough that I wasn't able to exercise; it was even painful to walk. After two weeks without any improvement I went to see a doctor who advised that it was a pain from overuse and that I should just stay off it until it healed. I used the VibraCool unit with the integrated ice packs 3 times a day for about 10 minutes each time. In less than two weeks the pain was completely eliminated and I was able to resume my regular exercise activities. The VibraCool was very easy to use. Mine has an elastic velcro strap and ice pack that attaches to the unit so that it can be firmly positioned directly over the pain. When and if I ever have overuse pains in any of my joints I will start using VibraCool immediately. I recommend it to anyone that leads an active lifestyle, sometimes overdoes it and experiences joint pain.

Would like to have been able to really test it out.
The review is more about my experience than the effectiveness of the working product.I was really interested and excited by the concept of Buzzy for purposes of helping with the pain of a shot when I found the VibraCool. I thought it would be great to have the functionality of a Buzzy, with the convenience of a larger size for use on various pains. Unfortunately, it didn't go as well as I had hoped. I received the VibraCool in the mail in a bubble wrap lined manila envelope, other than the flimsy cardboard box that it comes in, there was no other packaging to protect the product during shipping. The envelope was large enough that the top half could have wrapped around the product for extra padding, but it wasn't. I suspect that could have caused the problem, but ultimately I can't be sure. When I opened the box, I flipped the switch and turned the Vibracool on for a second to see how much vibration it gave off, then turned it off and put it away. When I went to use it later, when I flipped the switch nothing happened. As I went flip the switch off, it began to vibrate, but I didn't react fast enough to not turn it off. I tried to turn it back on, again it didn't vibrate, but I gave it a minute in case there was a delay but it didn't. I decide to try putting new batteries in, as I was inserting the batteries it vibrated, then stopped when I pulled my hand back. It seemed like there was a wire loose somewhere but I couldn't see where it was. I wasn't able to get it to work and finally had to return it.As I said I like the concept, I think it could work, but I'm not comfortable ordering another one.

Great device for runners for both pre- and post run treatment. It helped us complete 4 races in 4 days.
My running partner and I are avid but amateur runners; aches and pains on legs and feet come with the territory for us. We have ran 3 marathons, 2 half-marathons, 1 5K and 1 10K in the past year and decided to try the Dopey Challenge at Disney 2 weeks ago. The challenge consisted in running 4 races in 4 days, with progressive distances each day: 5K, 10K, half-marathon and marathon. The small races weren't a concern for us but running 13.1 miles the day prior to the marathon was concerning, especially due to the fact that I was experiencing shin splints and some feet pain and his legs were hurting a bit... and because going to the Disney parks after the race was on our plans, we needed to account for days’ worth of walking on top of running. After doing considerable reading, I decided to purchase the VibraCool and try it out as pre and post-running treatment. After the half-marathon and marathon races, my running partner and I treated, for 10 minutes, each area of our legs that was sore or tired from running. We alternated the use of VibraCool between the two us (because I had purchased just one) and used the straps to hold the VibraCool in place. I treated my calves, knees, and the arches of my feet. Surprisingly enough, we were able to run all races without walking or stopping and we were able to walk the entire day after the half and full marathons. For us, that was a big accomplishment because our legs are usually tired and the calves and knees are sore after marathons. We were quite ecstatic that we found something that worked. I’ve used compression socks and sleeves, KT tape, Tiger Balm, gel packs, post-race massages and even icy bath (my least preferred thing) and so far, nothing has worked as well as this device. The Dopey Challenge has made us a fan of it. Good tool for runners to have as pre- and post-run pain and recovery treatments… It made a huge difference for us.

Disappointed
Unfortunately these units brought no relief to my husband. I bought this product for my husband because of his is terrible arthritis pain. I actually bought four units. Unfortunately I didn’t have my act together to send them back in time, to where I guess it’s now a me problem. I am grasping at straws, willing to buy most anything to help my husband deal with his pain. Unfortunately not one unit brought him comfort.

Five Stars
My 11 year old daughter swims year-round and has found VibraCool to help relieve her back aches and pains after workouts. Some of the other swimmers use it on and around their knees. They had the following positive comments about VibraCool:-Fits nicely in the palm of your hand-Vibration combined with the cold packs is strong and highly effective-Since it's small and portable, using VibraCool is a quick and easy way to relieve pain immediately after practice at the pool-My daughter is going to use it during her swim meets and in between eventsWe're very pleased with this product and recommend it!

Unstable on small areas
I bought this primarily to use on my hand (basal joint arthritis). It temporarily helps with the pain, as it is supposed to do. The problem is that I have to be completely still while it is on. If there is any movement, it falls off or moves away from the painful area and I have to attach it again. The buzzing is also rather loud, so it's difficult to hear TV or a friend's voice while it's doing its job.
