Keegud Slow Feeder Dog Bowls Insert

Our 90 pound golden retriever is a big eater and he used to gulp his meals. I was worried about him being too gassy as a result so I looked into slow feeders. I wanted something to use in his stainless steel bowls and found this product! The price was certainly right so I decided to give it a shot! He definitely eats much slower now and as a result he is less gassy. I appreciate how easy it was to use and to clean. It will move a small amount in his bowl but he can’t pull it out which is good. It has been very durable so far and stands up to an aggressive eater! Highly recommend!

This product is a must for dogs that gobble their food down without chewing it first. This is very unhealthy for them, and as a pet owner, they will frequently vomit up what they gobble down. I have 3 large dogs that get fed in their crates as 2 are slow eaters and 1 inhales her food. I have had other slow feeder inserts in the past, that only had one suction at the bottom. She was able to easily dislodge it. Then I got a slow feeder bowl, which worked fine. But I wanted to get new bowls for the dogs which meant looking for another slow feeder insert. I liked this one because it has many suctions on the bottom, which doesn't budge, it's a high quality silicone, and it has enough "portions" to slow down the feeding while the design is simple and uncomplicated, making cleaning easy. I liked it so much that I got one for my daughter's dog, who is my girls littermate, who also inhales his food. He knows how to dislodge his slow feeder insert, so this one will be perfect for him. I also like the size of this product. I fits my new round bowls, but also fits perfectly into my daughters dogs tear drop shaped bowl. Also, the "wings" can be cut to fit smaller bowls,

Bought this to slow my puppy down on her eating habits and it has worked like a charm. She is eating at a much more normal pace now which my older dogs appreciate as she was finishing so quickly that she was trying to steal their food. It fit perfectly into her bowl with no alterations required. The only issue is that I had to buy a second one because she figured out how to pull the first one out of her dish and destroyed it. But I gave it another shot and we haven’t had that issue again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to slide their dog’s eating habits but doesn’t want to switch dishes.

Long story short, my dog has always been the type to need a slow-feed bowl. We used to have one of those stainless steel ones with the big bump in the middle, but once we got her on prednisone she became even more voracious than before (hard to believe) and it just wasn't doing the job. She was coughing and choking on her food and it was concerning. We tried the plastic maze style bowl and she BROKE IT. That's right. She pushed her mouth so deep into those crevices that she broke piece of the plastic clean off. Also concerning. So then I found this. And it is PERFECT. Because it is a sort of rubbery/silicone-like material she cannot actually break it. It slows her down enough that she doesn't choke (this was true while she was on prednisone and now that she's off it). I do think the plastic maze bowls slowed her down a bit more, but I prefer this because it still gets the job done and it is safer for my stupid dog who breaks plastic bowls with her snout. *rolls eyes* Though it may slip around in the bowl a tad, the suction ultimately doesn't come off and it is easy to reposition. It's also easy to take out and clean. Fantastic product and it's not even expensive. I wish I had known about this sooner!

This slow feeder does its job. It has actually made my pup eat slower. He would eat so fast that he would vomit his food up whole. He now burps when full instead of vomiting due to overeating since using this insert. My only con with this product is that it doesn’t stay suctioned to the bottom of the bowl. When my pup is eating the kibble spills out and goes under the insert which annoys me as well as him. Wish I had known before the return window closed because I would have returned it and purchased a slow feeder bowl.

This device is amazing! My dog has an oval shaped bowl, and I knew I may need to cut it to fit, but no cutting was necessary. It bends easily to fit her bowl, and best of all, she is eating slower now. She treats meal time as a game, and her tail wags because her brain is also engaged in trying to figure out how to get to her food. She eats it all except the last few pieces, and I detach the silicone wheel (it really stays put) and Lola happily eats the last few bites. Easy to clean. I’m very satisfied with this product.

Overall this product was a great for me and my dog. I had already had a food bowl and didn't want to have to purchase another one. This was super great for the price and fit into my dog's food bowl just fine due to it's flexibility. (My dog's food bowl is more of an oval shape.) It is meant for a smaller bowl. My dog has eaten fast her whole life and it causes her to choke. So we have to be VERY careful. With this insert, I can feed my dog without have to monitor her! Very few pieces of food fall under it, but my dog MUST have every crumb. Its suction cups make sure it doesn't move while feeding and easily removable. SUPER easy to wash with soap and water and dries quick, as well!

We have 2 dogs about same size. The 10 year younger dog gets a larger portion of food then our senior dog. Our senior always ate slow and takes about good 5 minutes to eat his portion. The younger warfs it down in mere seconds. We feed in Porcelain bowls and the Keegud Slow Feeder insert attaches firm to the bottom of the bowl with many little suction cups. I had to trim the flaps a little to fit his bowl. Now our senior dog is done when the young one just about finishes up his bowl. It works like a charm! The insert is easy to clean and none of the food (We feed home cooked.) sticks to the silicone. The item was half price of the one we saw at Petco and it is way thicker silicon and much sturdier as well. I am glad I purchased it and certainly can recommend!

This is a great little tool to help stop your dog from eating too fast! We have a miniature dachshund who LOVES his food and will inhale anything we feed him to the point where he'll sometimes throw it back up because he's eaten it too quickly. We tried feeding him his dinner with this slow feeder insert inside his usual bowl and it worked a treat! It took him a good while longer to be able to pick all the kibble out of his bowl, which is exactly what we needed. It's super easy to put in the bowl and to take it back out, and just as easy to wash it ready for his next meal! I also love that it's designed to be cuttable so it fits bowls of pretty much any shape or size. I would 100% recommend this if your dog has no control over how quickly they eat!
