Would recommend
Overall the final product after installation looks excellent. I used these to cover my basement foundation poles. I am very satisfied. My only complaint is during the shipping 2 areas were damaged / cracked. I used super glue to re-attach. This occured along the tip / edges so visually you can't see any damage to the eye.

Realistic looking
The faux stone covers are realistically stone looking, but of course most people know they are not. They fit well around my 6 x 6 posts on two decks and I am satisfied with them.

Look of real stone for less money.
I ordered the single enclosed post cover (one piece). My 6x6 posts are really 5.5 x 5.5 inches. These post were a real pain in the butt to slide over the top of a 10 foot post. Out of 4 covers, only one slid down. I had to try turning and flipping the covers over and it was way too tight. They need to really make the inside diameter about 1/4 inch wider. I didn't want the 2 piece type because of the complaints about the gaps and gluing. I ended up cutting along the one edge and I was able to slide it over the post with a little hammer and board persuasion. Now I will need to use screws, clamps and glue to hide the edge that was cut. If they fit right over a 6x6 post I would have given 5 stars.

I ended up having a post in my kitchen after a remodelling job. To dress up the post I ordered this fake stone kit. This was a 4x4 post so I just added an extra layer of drywall scraps over top of the first payer of drywall to fur it out and the stone fits perfectly on 5.5 inches. I used longer black drywall screws to secure the plastic stone kit, and they are essentially invisible, plus it makes it easily reversible and re-usable too. It's a very expensive product for what it is but also exactly what I needed. thanks.

It looks great. Use insulation Form to fill void around steel rounded posts and make wood frame around wood squire posts.
