BUT according to OSHA you shouldn't assume the maximum amount of reduction, they say as a safe rule of thumb that you should consider the reduction to be only 50% of the listed reduction. So in the case of these ear plugs where the dBA is 29 according to OSHA you should consider them to be good for only 15 dBA. So to go back to your question, of course they would work in a 29 to 32 dBA environment.
