1. I have a reasonable IQ, but when it comes to home repair / projects type of stuff, I admit it, I have some limitations. But like most people, I could always use some reorganization in the garage and thus after trying this and that over the years, I came across this product in the store and then purchased it via amazon (by the way, as some folks have mentioned, you can actually get better prices on some of the items at your local store and thus it pays to shop around). 2. My bottomline impressions: * In terms of it being almost dummy proof, no matter what the marketing people state, the achilles heel of any storage system where you need to mount something on the wall is finding the elusive stud. I won't go off on a tangent re: how lame stud finders are, but suffice to say, I've owned at least 3-4 of them and they are all hit / miss in actually finding the stud. More frustrating is the fact that although home builders supposedly follow some convention in terms of how frequently apart they space the studs, every home I've lived in doesn't follow that rule. Thus, when the Rubbermaid folks state that the ends of the rail must be attached to a stud, well... that may or may not happen depending on your wall. * The pragmatic bottomline is that despite the above, you're going to have at least one or likely two studs to utilize and then you can then use a decent drywall screw in the other holes. Note: the drywall screws that come with this product are so huge that it'll create a massive hole in your wall (I just advise getting a metal drywall screw; ie the one without the plastic sheath). * Other tips: get a bubble level (cheap) and having a powerdrill is handy (it's good to have one anyway). * Once you get the rail up, it is really solid, sturdy and equally important (unlike other systems) very very versatile; you can add or take up various attachments so as to hang up other stuff as per your needs over the years. Furthermore, Rubbermaid makes various rail lengths. 3. All in all, a very excellent, simple and flexible organizational tool for the garage... that is fairly easy to set up. Highly recommended.

Pretty easy to install. I went three across at 75" and 2 across lower down (forgot the height) and used the sixth elsewhere in the garage. I have a full-sized stepladder on one hook and a pretty heavy, metal handtruck on another, as well as a full bag of golf clubs on a third, along with all the normal garage stuff like brooms, snow shovels, etc. All are being held up quite securely and it has definitely freed up a lot of floorspace in the garage, which is, of course, the point. I do wish that it came with a few more of the "Multi Hook" hooks, as this is the most useful hook for bigger stuff. I ended up buying a four pack of more.

Love this system! We are able to hang so much in our garage. The system holds multiple bikes, shovels, toys, ladders, etc. it helps organize our closet and I am really not sure what we would do without it. We are moving and actually just bought a new one for our house. We have been using for a couple years and it’s held up perfectly. My favorite part is how I can easily take down the bikes on my own (Im 5ft)

Pretty east install, but would help with a 2nd pair of hands. Very durable metal rail. It's tricky when you butt 2 ends together on the edge of a 2x4, which is only 1.5", and you need to use a screw on each end. You get and assortment of 6 hangars, which is pretty good as you can see which type fits your needs if you need to order more. The hangers are where it gets really expensive. Happy with the purchase and Rubbermaid is quality.

Perfect amount of holders for our needs. Easy to install and easy to move holders around.

We love the modular design of this kit. It is easy to put together and install, and we can add or remove hooks and accessories or move them around on the rails as our storage needs change. They are pretty nice quality and fit well. I wish I had known about these before I added a bunch of other hooks and shelves elsewhere in the garage, because it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

Holds my kids bikes in the garage. I already had a lot of the Rubbermaid fasttrack system but the rails were too high for my kids to reach their bikes up to them. I had a corner of the garage where they’d fit so this went on nice and low enough on the wall for them to roll their front tires up to the hangers. Works great. Can only fit three bikes on this length comfortably and only having two would be easier to maneuver for sure. Kids ride their bikes almost everyday so it gets a lot of use. No sign of wear.

I love the rubber made rails and all the accessories for organizing the garage. Also worked great in my condo storage unit before moving.

This system worked really well in my shed. I bought this with the bike attachment. The hooks are easy to attach to the rack. It was easy to install. It is sturdy enough to hold the bike. I would recommend it.
