It was exactly what I needed, fit perfect, made very good

Fit GSG 1911-22 and vortex viper just fine. It has a set screw in front to make up for the non standard sight base on the gsg. It's a little short though. I replaced it with a slightly longer one from the hardware store and it's rock solid and level. I didn't have to alter the mount itself to make it fit at all. You could also shim it with a thin piece of metal and protect the slides finish better.

So to start off I didn’t receive the item listed I did revive a mounting plate but it was missing the back 2 pegs that hold the mount down which sucks , but over all works great like it was supposed to also it is a 2 pice design not one solid pice and has only 2 screws that actually hold the entire optic and plate down which is not ideal but works I did pair this plate with a ade optic as well and works all in it does do what it was supposed to do but the lacking features and extra holes in the plate does lower it for me , go with this if you are on a budget

Mounted this on a friends RIA 1911 and the fit was perfect. The dovetail was tight but I didn't have to modify which was a pleasant surprise. I bedded it to the slide and it's rock solid and the sight has held zero perfectly. Not he wants me to mount one on a different arm if I can find one that fits it's dovetail.

RIA 1911 Tactical with the Novak Sights (not GI) Well, it didn't fit out of the box. The reason for this is, ADE has a full box of metal around the area that screws into the dovetail bit, and on the RIA, the rounded top part of the slide overhangs the dovetail slightly. Said another way, looking at the bottom of this mount, there is a perpendicular metal lip that separates the transition between rounded slide contact, and dovetail adapter interface. That lip does not fit between the slide and the dovetail adapter bit. Using a Dremel with a stone wheel, I was able to remove the metal following the rounded slide interface, and use a sanding wheel Dremel but to smooth out the final stretch. After this, it fit like a glove. Secondarily, the screws ADE include are not long enough to reach through their optic, the adapter plate, and actually engage the dovetail adapter. They are tapered heads too, so sourcing ones that work was... Challenging. All in all, I would buy again, but would source the screws ahead of time. The grinding is probably only specific to special snowflakes like RIA, which tend to have fitment gremlins with many after market parts

Unfortunately would not work on my Kimber Custom 2 but that is NOT the product’s fault. I ended up using this on a different 1911 and it was perfect! Highly recommend this mount.

Does not fit RMR footprint at all. Not even close.
