Quiet and powerful portable computer fans
Fantastic, quiet, powerful AC and USB powered computer style fans. I needed something to help cool my blu-ray and old PS3 cabinet a bit, and this fits the bill!NOTES:-3 speed settings. I keep it on L (low) all the time. The M and H are great but I don't need that much power. I bought the version of this multifan that comes with the "overclocked" AC adaptor for the USB plug. Makes the fans run a bit faster than if they were plugged into a standard USB port. Go fig I didn't that, it's definitely powerful enough without that. No matter what speed you choose, it's always whisper quiet. Literally, you can barely hear it across the room. The switch controls both fans at the same time. No independent control. You can also use the switch to turn the fans off.-You can daisy-chain multiple USB fans together from this brand. Don't need to, but this set is wired with a female USB connection for another set. The fan switch control would control ALL fans at the same time.-There is roughly 44 inches cable length between the 2 fans.-There is roughly 6 ft of cable between the splitter for the fans, and the USB power connection.-The rubber feet can be removed if desired. You have to unscrew the fans first, and then you can take the screw out of the rubber.-When you remove the rubber feet, this removes the fan grills as well. You can remove the fans on both sides. If you don't like the grills, you can replace them with something else. Standard 120mm covers/grills work on these just fine.-You can re-orient the fan power cord to the intake or outtake sides. There's a little groove for that.-It's about 5 inches wide by 5 inches tall. The fan itself is 1 in thick. but the grills add about half an inch more, and the rubber feet another half inch. See images for more detail. These are 120mm fans through and through, with a thick grill.-If you need to rewire these for any reason, they are simple two wire fans with a black (ground) and red (power) cord.Currently, these bring my temperatures down from 81-83 degrees in the cabinet to about 73-75, depending on the day. Room temperature is usually around 73, so it does a great job keeping things almost at room temp, just on Low power!UPDATE: So for another application, I bought a seperate 120mm AC Infinity fan to add onto this. If you are planning on linking / daisy chaining more fans, the fan/controller with it's wire/speed control closets to the outlet (lowest in the chain) controls ALL later connections. What does this mean? If your first fan is set to Medium, all subsequent fans can only go to Medium. For me, I had to set the first fan to High, then my subsequent to Medium for my needs to get the airflow right. Small issue, and of course since it's USB connections you can always just get USB outlet adapters to get around the issue. No star deduction as I had a small feeling that happens.

Success!
I bought these fans in order to cool down my media cabinet that has a PS4, Roku, and surge protector; it has 3 shelves. I recently put my PS4 in a cabinet to keep things less cluttered and noticed instantly that the PS4 ran pretty hot, which lead me to leaving the door opened to the cabinet. The issue of overheating is what pushed me to find ways of combating this issue. The install-Everything was very easy! Their wiring took all the guess work out of the install. All you have to do is plug it up to a USB, and yes I recommend using their USB plug, it does make a difference. These are meant to be stood up, but my plans were to mount them. I disassembeled the fans and used the wired vents to trace it out onto the back of my media tower which is made out of that hard cardboard stuff. I used a jigsaw to cut it out and drilled (4) holes for the (4) screws that keep the fan together. Luckily, I had (8) screws that were slightly bigger than the holes in the fan, so I redrilled the holes to fit the new screws. I placed the fans on the backside of my cabinet, while using the wire vent on the inside of the cabinet and used the rubber feet to keep everything together. Surprisingly enough, the unit is tightly fastened to the cabinet with just the screw and rubber feet. I have (1) fan bringing in cold air from the bottom, while (1) fan is sending out the hot air from the top. (In the process of covering a 3rd hole that is used for wires with a circular outlet that has silicone wedges.) I have it hooked to the thermal remote and sensor. I have the thermal sensor behind the internal PS4 fan.Function-Noise: what noise? Even at max, theres minimal noise! Very surprised. I have had no issues since installing, it just works on its own. It pumps in/out so much air! (I have the fan speed to max.) I wouldn't recommend buying fan filters, it will hinder how much air is being pushed. I tested using one, and noticed an 80% reduction (at least)! (It couldve just been the filter). The thermal remote turns on the fans when it hits 88 degrees, and when it goes below 88 degrees, it shuts off.Overall-I am very happy with the product! The value and quality are on point! AC Infinity just made it too easy to use and install their products! The products just work, I have no worries about the performance or longevity of the units. I recommend their products 100%.
