Only strippers that go down to 18 solid wire. Perfect for hvac.

I work in the low voltage field.. I pull lots of wire.. I bought these pliers for when I go under buildings.. I got tired of loss h my kliens.. These pliers cut 4-5 cat5/6 wires with ease.. 25 pair.. no issues.. The issue comes when cutting coax..Cutting coax left a nick in my pliers cutter blade. See pic. Also.. The insulated handles are starting to slip after about a months use. See pucs.. These pliers are good. I like them.. But the truth is? They are just not as good as Kliens.. But for 22 bucks? They are not bad. Would a recommend them? As a backup pair of pliers for professionals.. yes.. For a DIYer .. yes.. But unfortunately.. I would not recommend these pliers to a professional as thier primary pliers.

STRIPPING The gauge markings in general could be more visible. Light grey on black is harder to see in low light conditions (under a crawlspace) - especially if you're 50 or older. Yellow would be better. The marking is on both sides which is great. Stripping is flawless. WIRE CUTTING Cut 10 and 12 gauge wire effortlessly. No dents in the tool so the steel is stronger than copper. WIRE BENDING Using either the pliers or the hole between the pliers and strippers I was able to handle wire and manipulate it into the right shapes (j shape) for installing a light switch. REAMER Not tested BOLT CUTTERS Testing on wire. Not bolts. Not sure I'd ever use the bolt cutters. ERGONIMIC The tool is spring loaded and returns to the open position. There is a locking mechanism that locks the tool closed. It was a bit confusing how to unlock but once you do it a few times its pretty easy. You can unlock the mechanism with your thumb while holding the tool with just one hand. It feels heavy but the rubber handle makes it feel right at home for your hand. All in all very happy with purchase.

Great tool. Good for value , classic color, versatility of course. Durable as well. Still working!

Bought to replace some cheap wire strippers. What a massive difference. Great range of guage size and they strip with ease. Flat end allowed for pulling off long sheath and the other end for wire cutting. Weighty product that feels quality. Deserved to be bought.
