Spigen Tempered Glass Google Pixel Screen Protector [ Case Friendly ] [ Maximum Protection ] for Google Pixel (2016 Release) - White

I normally don't write product reviews, but please read this one if you are looking for an honest opinion (and a short story!). I picked up the Google Pixel in February, thinking at first that maybe I don't need a screen protector for such a great quality phone with Gorilla Glass. But then I remembered how extremely clumsy I am, and decided to find a tempered glass protector that wouldn't break the bank. I found this one and decided to pick it up in March... and I'm now very happy I did. I just dropped my phone from about 5 feet (I know, not that far - but standing up, that's about how far people would drop it in a normal situation) on the pavement in my driveway. My heart sank immediately when I saw the cracks all over my screen, but then I remembered the protector was on it. Sure enough, I peeled off the cracked screen protector to reveal the spotless screen, just like when I first unwrapped the phone. I attached a photo of the protector after I peeled it off, but I didn't get a chance to take a photo of my phone (but it's like new still).Pros:-Easy to apply-Affordable-Can hardly tell its there, unless you look at the edges-Everything on the screen still looks beautiful-DOES protect the screen from clumsy people like me *cough*Cons:-I was getting a lot of bubbling in the center from time to time, but I was able to peel the sides up to push the air back out-Slightly more reflective/glossy than the normal screen

This is my third attempt at a screen protector for the Pixel. Well, the fourth if you count the time I ordered ones for the XL mistakenly. Thank goodness it hit all the marks. Installation was as easy or easier than you're used to. The installation tabs provided on the screen protector really give you a great grip and vantage. Make sure you get up above the phone while installing so you can see all sides. The black border that lies over the bezels really gives this screen protector a sharp look I didn't know I was missing. There is NO distortion of any kind on the screen. The surface is more reflective than the naked Pixel, but not more than any other glass screen protector. I'm now convinced the only reason company's offer 2 or 3 packs of screen protectors is because they know they are garbage and need to make you feel like you're getting a deal. Don't skimp.

I have not been impressed with this product (which is odd b/c I've purchased Spigen products in the past with no issues.) I put the screen protector on and w/in a couple hours, it fell off the phone after it landed on the carpet. I've never had a case just fall off a phone after a short fall onto the carpet. The company was gracious enough to send me another one free of charge under their warranty. I put the second one on right before a trip out of town over Labor Day and the same thing happened again. My phone got bumped on the edge of table and it fell off again, but this time it shattered when it hit the carpeted ground. I have contacted the company again with no response back. Not happy with this purchase at all and that I paid money for something that didn't even last 24 hours (which is total between both of them.)

***Update*** This screen protector is the best I've found as far as the fit and how it looks, but I can't seem to keep one of these more than a week or two before they crack. The one that lasted the longest was on for about a month but the glass around the bottom center started crumbling away. I've purchased this 3 times, and last time I contacted customer support and asked for a replacement when it cracked. They were easy to work with and sent me a new one, and now this one is cracked too. This is not the first phone I've had with glass protectors, I've never had this issue before and I don't feel like I handle my phone carelessly. Anyway after 4 of these, I think it's time for me to try a new brand.Previous review: I've tried several screen protectors and this one my favorite. It's easy to apply, no bubbles, it sticks evenly across the whole screen and as soon as you put it on you forget it's even there. I have used the Google case and another from Amazon with this screen protector and had no issues with fit. I dropped my phone face down on gravel and this protector saved it. Love it.

The screen protector itself actually fits perfectly on the screen, and it seems like it'd be effective at keeping my phone screen safe. However, only the black part is adhesive -- the clear part isn't! This was surprising to me, since on my old phone (Nexus 6P), all of the tempered glass screen protectors I had gotten for it in the past were basically large glass stickers. The reason for the low rating is I have a Spigen case for my phone (read: the same company that manufactures these screen protectors) and the screen protector is slightly too large for the case, and the lip of the case kind of jams into the edge of the screen protector. This causes the screen protector to lift on the edges, and I only had the screen protector on for a day before I couldn't stand it anymore because when the screen protector lifts, it basically renders that side of the screen useless, unless you press really hard to push the screen protector back on the screen.If you don't use a case, I'd totally recommend this -- I've done quite a bit of research and this screen protector looks like the one that fits the best on the Pixel and isn't too small. I didn't see any halo-ing either, where the screen protector lifts up on the edges because the phone itself is rounded. If you do use a case, I can't recommend this unless the case has no lip around the screen.

The items fits on the screen really well but it doesn't last for more than 2 months or max 3 months.. It always ends of cracking or scratching and then you are forced to replace it again. I am not even a power user btw. I must have bought 4-5 times with each time resulting in the same condition. Unfortunately, this always happens outside the 30 day return window and i am unable to return it. I haven't found a suitable alternative to this product and hence i am forced to come back to this product. Much better quality and durability is expected from a company like SPIGEN.

Spigen is a brand that I trust. I've always been extremely satisfied with their products in general. I've owned several Google Nexus phones and now a Pixel. I've always been satisfied with their screen protectors and phone cases which have saved my phones from hard drops many times.This time, however, I'm not satisfied at all.Pros:- The screen protector is a perfect fit for the phone.- It protects the screen extremely well against scratches.Cons:- There's a rainbow pattern in the very center of the screen, like a bubble, that seems to dissapear and come back on its own and I can't figure out why.- Somehow, and this one baffles me, some dust got underneath a couple of weeks after installation. How could that happen???I am super anal about the cleanliness of my screen because I use my phone for VR. The lens on the VR headset only amplifies the dust marks and totally kills the experience. I was extremely careful installing this protector in a dust-free environment and took all the precautions. It was initially perfect. Plus, I would have noticed it much earlier since I've used my phone for VR games already. The dust seems to have gotten underneath today somehow. And it's only on one side of the phone screen.I've attached some pictures to show what I mean. And I was careful to wipe it down with a micro-fiber cloth befire taking these shots. I've circled the dust spots to show you where the dust is under the screen protector.I hope Spigen has good customer service because I'll be asking for a replacement.

I have been using Spigen products ever since I found out about it. Spigen this, Spigen that. Spigen has been protecting my devices without any doubts. No complaints there. However, when I ought this product for a Pixel, it didn't seem to last long. It did crack at one simple light drop. But let's not forget that this product is designed more to protect the device which in this case, it did. The product cracked but the device was fine. I am only giving one star because I really wished that it could have a little bit of more durability. But thanks to the fair price, I will be ordering one more to replace the broken one.

Not happy with this product. I bought one: within less than a month the edge had lifted and the bottom quarter folded up and shattered. OK, figured maybe I hadn't sealed it to the phone surface properly so I bought another. It too has shattered within less than a month from something that would not have damaged the screen if there hadn't been a cover on it at all. One destroyed screen protector after less than a month of use I can chalk up to being my fault, but not two. I will not be buying a third. I'll also mention that it was pretty brutal for showing fingerprints - within minutes of use the screen was completely smeared. Not a fan.

Overall, I think this is a great glass protector. Application was easy. The protector fits the screen perfectly. However, I think I have a defective protector. When I applied it on there was no air bubble, but a day or 2 later, an air bubble appeared in the center. Sometimes the bubble would disappear and reappear. A month later, a tiny crack appeared on the screen near the top of the speaker. I never dropped my phone. Within a week, that crack extended to the bottom of the screen protector - you can see this in the attached photo.[October 5th Update]I have contacted Spigen to see what they can do about the crack, and thankfully, I am covered by their warranty. They promptly shipped out a new protector within 3 days of contacting them. I feel confident using a product backed by great customer service!
