So far, so good.
Somehow this thing is actually worth it (subjectively). My wife's hair actually looks more lustrous and kempt. A lot of money, but she's happy and hopefully she gets many years out of it.

I've had three of these over the last fifty (!) years. Never use any others. Gentle and soothing.

Love, Love, Love this brush.
Love, Love, Love this brush, had one years ago and loved it also, but gave to my granddaughter, should have kept it because her texture of hair is not the same as mine. My hair is baby fine and frizzy up front and on front sides. This brush is so perfect for this type of hair. It feels so good brushing my short 79 year old female hair. I am praying that this brush will stimulate my hair into growing. It has taken sooo long for my hair to grow. It grows very slowly because it breaks so easily. So I will what progress it makes for thr rest of the year. Just got my brush a couple of weeks ago, but hasn't let me down, it just FEELS SO GOOD ON MY SCALP while brushing.

Mason Pearson Sensitive- Not all that great
Well, after months of research I gave in and bought this brush for my fine-thin hair. I not only read reviews from users, but watched videos and looked into the history and make of this brush. It sounded fantastic and I finally just bought it.My first impression is that the brush is very well made. The handle is lovely and the bristles do not fall out. It comes with a brush cleaner which is pretty ordinary but does what it should. This is the reason I gave it two stars. Now, as far as the performance of the brush itself, it is very average. Yes, it felt "good" against my scalp but not much different from other quality boar brushes that retail at $20.00. After brushing there was plenty of hair that still came out of my head and if you are looking for volume...the only one I got was from all static in my hair. Otherwise the hair on the top part of my head lay flatter than usual unless it was standing in the air.I really wish I had not spent $100 for this brush. I would have maybe spent $25, and that would only be for the "massage" feel and how attractive the brush is.

"THE " Brush
Brush is spectacular - FOR ME and MY HAIR. Everyone is different as are the brushes, so it is imperative that you buy the correct brush for YOUR hair - thick, mediun, thin, and density being most important. Size of the brush head then needs a decision - SML. I use the "handy sensitive all boar" when my hair is shortest - just after cutting, but then the same brush (non-sensitive) version after it has grown back somewhat. Now as to are these REAL MP brushes? YES. The packaging alone should tell you that, one has to practically demolish the external box to access the care instruction leaflets which are important. They are made in ENGLAND, not China. By the way, KENT brushes are also made in England. As to the "dark ruby" color issue. YES the "black" handles are REALLY dark ruby. Hold the end of the brush head close to a strong light and you will see the color clearly. You get what you pay for. MP brushes are among the finest, as long as you get the correct brush version for YOU.

Feels so good on my tender scalp!
This brush feels so good on my tender scalp!I expected that it would feel better than my first Mason Pearson brush (which I liked very much, and used for about 15 years) because it was designed to be gentle (and because it’s not cheap); still, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good it feels. I’ve just had it for a couple of weeks, but my scalp is feeling healthier. This brush works very well as a hairbrush too, gliding through my hair, and giving it a smother and fuller look (my hair is thinning; I’m in my 70’s). I gave it 4 stars because, considering the cost, I think it should come with a carrying case or bag.
