Good filter.
Its a sediment filter, it does its job and keeps the system from clogging up with sediment. These are well made and work well. I use it in a RO/DI system for a reef tank, and these work well and at a better price point then most aquarium stores that sell them.

What's in the water? I don't know, do you?
Hard to really know what's being filtered and what is not, what is being filtered is visible enough to make me a believer. I installed this and a GE housing in my shower. The ridiculous tiny shower filters require frequent replacement and cost a small fortune, this larger filter should be good for about a years usage for my wife and I. I removed the cartridge after a little more then a months use and was shocked at to find the originally bright white media a dirty brownish orange, which appears to be mostly rust. Even if it's completely harmless, I don't want to fumigate myself with anything I don't have too.
