I mix this with a little bit of Summit Responsible Solutions Mosquito Bits, in case the fungas gnats ever return, as it is very effective against them. I have mostly oncidiums and phalaenopsis and a few more exotic orchids. You are supposed to soak the mix before potting, but it is easier to pot them dry. If you pot them dry, soak the pots in a tub of water for a while after potting -- for an hour or two -- to get the mix good and wet starting out.
