Love, love this product. Adjustable mist output makes the control of the humidity just perfect. Set up is sooo easy. No smell, noise is very very low. Use this in our living room and it does a beautiful job. We got a smaller one for our bedroom and love that unit too. It is clear so you can see the water level. Has automatic shut off. Is super easy to clean. I use distilled water so there is no mineral deposit. Have had for 3 months now and it is perfect

We just finished our 3rd year of using this and it is by far the best humidifier we have ever purchased. In fact, we purchased another one that same year for our sons room and then last year a smaller Levoit for our daughters room (much smaller space). Please note that due to heavy minerals in our well water we have always used these using only distilled water. This year we changed to using RO water because we had a unit installed in our home last year and now we don’t have to purchase Distilled water. In my experience all humidifiers will output white dust unless we use mineral free water. Both the distilled and our now home installed drinking water system makes this unit run flawlessly with very little need for cleaning during the winter months.We love the WiFi capacity with these units as it is convenient for our family. We set each unit up with programs to come on 2 hrs before bedtime and stop running 30 minutes before typical wake up times. We can set the desired humidity levels and forget about it.I mentioned that with using distilled or RO water these stay super clean thought out the winter but the great thing is that when you do need to clean these, it is very easy compared to all other units we have ever had (and we’ve had many with varying brands). Just about everything comes off for ease of cleaning.We do not use the little port for essential oils so I cannot comment on that aspect of the units.So far these seem like they will be holding up much better than other brands so although they are a bit more $ I feel like we are getting a good value based on what durability is thus far.

I really love this unit. It is the best humidifier I've had. The fact that it can maintain a set humidity level relatively accurately is a huge asset. I live in the southwestern US and it is very dry here, and I am also a musician. Having recently purchased a very nice acoustic guitar made of all solid wood, I wanted a humidifier that would keep my apartment at a stable humidity level ideal for an acoustic instrument. This unit does the job but requires some extra steps to make it truly work for me.I've found that under normal operation, the humidifier will run until the internal hygrometer senses that it has reached the target humidity level. Once it has reached the target level, it will stop until the relative humidity drops to 5% below target and then it will run again. However, it will often linger around the target level (according to the display) when it clearly feels dryer than what is being displayed.Now, I have yet to test this with another hygrometer (I need a weird battery for my other one that I have been too busy/tired/lazy to buy), but other people have and they have noticed that the displayed RH% on the Levoit unit is about 10% higher than on another hygrometer. What I have noticed is that if I run a fan in the room, the displayed RH% drops significantly, and then the humidifier is outputting quite a bit more mist and at this point I feel that the RH% on the readout matches what I feel in the room. This is consistent with other reviews.My belief is that the humidity sensor on the Levoit unit is not that well designed. It seems to be fooled by the mist around the humidifier into detecting a higher-than-accurate humidity level. This is easily remedied by running a fan near the humidifier to encourage airflow.About the aroma pad (IMPORTANT!): I DO NOT recommend using the aroma pad. I was really excited for this feature and it plain doesn't work. Levoit says aroma should be "light" and I would agree if you put your nose right up to it, yes, you can smell a light aroma. It does nothing for the room. What it does seem to do is further confound the humidity sensor, making it impossible for the unit to reach anywhere near the target humidity.At one point, I noticed I was getting no mist output for some time after applying oil to the aroma pad and inserting it. I removed the aroma pad, and the readout RH% dropped like a rock! The sensor is right in that area where the aroma box is, so I just bought a separate ultrasonic diffuser to make my apartment smell nice.Other than the aroma box/humidity sensor issue, this is actually a fantastic unit. Very easy to clean, easy to fill and the big reservoir can last a while. If I need to take a trip and I'm gone for a few days, it will keep my apartment humid enough that my guitar is happy. The mist output is strong, and the two rotating nozzles really spread it around. I've heard also that a separate smart-home hygrometer connected to a smart outlet can regulate the unit's output if the unit is set to manual, which would then make it a perfect set-and-forget humidity solution.

Everything you need to know about this humidifier! If you live in a state with cold, dry winters, the warm mist function is a must. I didn’t originally purchase this humidifier for that feature, but now I realize how much of a difference it makes.The water tank stays very clean when using filtered or distilled water, though the base of the tank—like with most humidifiers—does need cleaning after a few days. The cleaning process is thorough but straightforward if you follow the manufacturer’s instructions using vinegar. It does leave a light layer of dust from minerals in the water, which is common with all humidifiers and easy to wipe away.We’re able to run this compact humidifier on the upper level of our 1,900 sq ft home, and it keeps the humidity around 30%, depending on the weather. When filled completely before bed, it runs on high all night—close to 8 hours. Overall, this is a great product and works extremely well.

This humidifier is great. It's quiet, easily adjustable and has helped me sleep much better. But what is even better is the customer service. My unit wasn't working properly and they were very helpful in troubleshooting ways to correct the issue. The unit still wasn't running properly and it was under warranty. My customer service agent was helpful and patient with me getting the correct information and shipped out a replacement quickly. Would for sure by from Levoit again!

Bought this humidifier based on NYT Wirecutter recommendation. My bedroom is particularly dry over the winter time, so I needed something to bring the humidity level up. This humidifier works great. Easy to set up and run. My bedroom is about 12 x 15 with a cathedral ceiling, and the machine successfully raises the humidity from 30-35% to 45-50% and keeps it at that level over the 8 hours I'm sleeping. I fill the tank with a gallon of distilled water, and I'm able to run it about 2 nights before the water runs out. The noise level is noticeable when it is on, but not very loud. I usually run a white noise machine at night anyway which completely covers any sound the humidifier makes. I do recommend using the heated steam setting over the winter as it seems to make the room more comfortable.As for cleaning, I've had the humidifier about a month, and I've just been emptying the tank every 2 days, taking it apart (which is quite easy), wiping down the parts with a microfiber cloth, and then letting it air dry over the course of the day. That seems to work well. I do plan on doing a deeper cleaning after a month probably following the recommendations made by Wirecutter for how to do that.You have the option to use essential oils if you want to try aromatherapy, however, I've not tried that, and I'm not sure how healthy that would be for overnight use.You can use an app with the machine which gives you better control over the machine (like finer grain control of humidity settings and options to turn off display), but it's not required. It is pretty easy to set up, and I like being able to use the app on my phone to control it from bed when needed.If you need a humidifier, I highly recommend it.

I needed to humidify an addition to the house that has its own independent HVAC, which means it's not tied in with my whole house humidifier. It gets extremely dry in the winter and I have guitars that need consistent humidity. My luthier has a similar model to this and has been happy with his for a couple of years, so I took a chance on the same brand. It's easy to fill, and I like that. It's extremely quiet, especially when using the steam mist. The mist is extremely fine so it doesn't settle. Lots of folks have complained about the hygrometer and it is somewhat unstable. It will get you in the ballpark, but monitoring with a separate hygrometer suggests it's usually quite low. For example, to get to 45% in the room, I'm usually running a 55% setting. It's in the manual that you don't want this thing on the floor; you need it at tabletop height. Mine is a little lower than that, and I think the issue is that the hygrometer gets fooled by the unit's own mist, so until the humidity dissipates from the location of the machine, it tends to think it's satisfied. This leads the unit to cycle a fair amount, but I don't see any particular harm to that behavior. In general, it holds humidity about where I want it at a 55% setting, but this varies depending on how hard it's working. Drier air means the above effects gets exacerbated, and then for me to get low 40s, I need to ask for 60 or 65. It's mildly annoying but not fatal. It has an auto-off if it runs out of water. I gave up using distilled water as I'm using over half a gallon a day in winter, so tap water it is. Ours is fairly soft and high in mineral content, and I haven't seen any obvious deposits or performance issues in 3 months of steady usage. Seems to be a good unit.UPDATE, 1/2/25: This unit continues to perform well. One quirk about its internal hygrometer I'll add is that if it's really dry and the unit hasn't run in a while, it tends to read ridiculously high--like it'll say it's 65% in the room when it's really 30%. The unit pumps moisture when it's first turned on, and this brief cycle is usually enough to dampen the hygrometer and get it reading more in its more sane range. Sometimes I cycle it twice and then it's fine. Whenever it's dry, it's set and forget and I just put in water. As for the tap water thing, DON'T DO IT. At the end of a season, I had a film on walls, windows, everywhere. And the unit needed a heck of a cleaning. I got tired of buying gallons and gallons of distilled water, so I bought a Vevor distiller on here for under $100 and it's paying for itself as we speak. If you're a regular user of this unit, I do recommend distilling your own water.

De plus, un réservoir externe permet aussi l'utilisation d'huiles essentielles !Le prix vaut vraiment le coup selon moi :)

Comprato per umidificare delle piante da interno svolge pienamente la sua funzione: serbatoio molto capiente, app intuitiva e comoda per gestirlo, semplice l'allineamento alla rete. Crea un livello di umidità perfetto per le mie piante che apprezzano il microclima creato dal Levoit. Preso ad un buon prezzo, semplice la manutenzione, ottimo il funzionamento, la sua gestione e la possibilità di settarlo (nebbia calda e fredda). Davvero consigliatissimo.
