I feel this is a good value for the money. The kit includes many resistance values that others omit.It would have been nice to have 2 dividers included to make 4 compartments in the case that comes with the kit. However it's a minor detail IMO.

I had a project that needed to make a 12.5 ohm resistor. This kit has almost a complete E24 values in the 1,10,100,1000,10000,100000 decades (and a single 1M resistor). For some reason, there is no 1.3 ohm (it's not listed in the values included, but is on a E24 chart), even though there is 13ohm/130ohm... I just went through and sorted them, and all the values in the list were included, none missing (except for 1.3). Out of curiosity, I went to Digikey and looked up the current price on resistors in small quantity (10). It was basically a dollar per value for 10, so to manually replicate this kit buying individual items on Digikey would cost about $145. The cost to cut and pack 10 resistors must be more than the cost of 10 resistors. Looking at kits on Digikey, the Yaego RS200 kit has 169 values 1-10M, 200 of each value, and was priced at $308. A typical roll of 5000 resistors of the same value is about $60 (multiple rolls were not much cheaper per part), so $8700 would buy the parts for 500 of these kits, or about $17.40 for 10 each of 145 values. To cut and pack 73,000 strips of resistors would cost more than the $2.50 difference in price of the raw parts and final sale price. This is a good value! I probably would have bought a kit of 25 each, at 2.5x the price or maybe even $100 for 50 each in this large number of values (or adding the 1M decade like the Yaego kit). I do think putting each strip of 10 resistors in a separate plastic bag was a poor way to organize them. I spent an hour sorting them and verifying that 1.3 was the only missing value in a complete E24 set. The included box will not keep them organized unless I put tape or rubber bands around groups. I bought a top loading trading card folder (see photo, this was NOT included in this kit), which has 9 pockets per page, this easily holds this entire collection in a very organized way.Overall, I like the large range of standard values, wish it had more than 10 resistors per value The effort to organize 50 resistors is hardly any more than 10. If it came in some sort of organizer already, that would be worth the price. I think a kit of E24 values (1%) from 1-10M, quantity 50, in an organizer, for $125 or so would get my instant purchase. I also have a couple of SMT kits, which are decently priced for large kits.I am taking off a point for missing 1.3 ohms. I did get 20 20K ohms, but would have preferred getting 10 1.3 ohm.

I couldn't resist getting this kit (pun intended). Lots of resistors there for breadboarding and little projects.I tested a few of them out with the multimeter. All were within spec. -yay-
