**Q: Does the raised lip go up or down**
A: The raised lip faces the sharpening mechanism. Search YouTube for this excellent video: "Tutorial How To Repair Hunt Boston Model 18 & 19 With 3d Printed Gear" which demonstrates the correct assembly. It's a little tricky to seat the replacement gear and the sharpening mechanism correctly. It may feel too loose until you reattach the two internal screws which tightens everything up.

**Q: Is this molded plastic or made with a 3D printer?**
A: How can one find out if a three D printer did it? For the most part its molded plastic, since there are some marks on it.

**Q: my gear is 2" diameter at the teeth?  Is this the same?**
A: It should be about 2 1/8 inches in diameter.

**Q: does it come with a gear locking clip?**
A: There is no clip. Where you push the replacement gear back onto its axle, it's fitted, not round. It takes a little force to push the axle through, so the gear stays in place and rotates the axle correctly with no clip used originally or in the repair.
