I greatly suspected it was the capacitor (generally the first thing to go), so I pulled the old cap out of the AC unit, measured it, and sure enough, it was dead. I was hoping for a name brand/OEM replacement, but none was available for next day shipping. So, I opted to order this BOJACK model. I ordered it 11pm, and it arrive bay 8am the next morning (kudos to Amazon). Upon unboxing, I measured the cap terminals with my reasonably good Fluke DMM. Sure enough, everything was within spec, so I installed it. We're now a ~2 months in, and the AC is still running fine. How will things play out during the peak of next summer or later, who knows... but for now, the product performs as stated, and was a great value, especially considering the quick shipping. To everyone... get familiar with your AC... learn where the cap(s) are... and order a replacement to have waiting in the wings for when, inevitably, your AC cap will croak.
