Great varnish with zero residue.

Great way to persevere my paint jobs on my miniatures. I don't like glossy finishes, so this was a great way to dull the finish.

Nice varnish, works well on figures and models, dries fast and flat and easy to apply. Acrylic so you can thin it a bit if desired. Protects paint and touch up goes on nicely.

I used this Matt Varnish (wish Vallejo spelled Matt Matte) as a brush on to seal a miniature figurine. I used two coats, letting the first coat dry completely. The varnish looks invisible to me - doesn't blur or darken the paint job, no brush strokes, the dried texture is nondescript, and allows me to handle my mini with no smudges or flaking. The cost per volume is higher than other varnishes, but other reviews and forums convinced me to purchase. I paint tabletop miniatures, so the price is justifiable to me. If I painted armies (large quantities), I might buy another brand.

I make clay miniatures with polymer clay and use this matte finish to seal my work. This is my second order of this stuff. It works awesome. It's truly a matte finish and dries within several minutes. I can never tell that my pieces have had anything applied and that's the true test for me as polymer clay bakes to a matte finish. My only gripe is that I only need a tiny bit to seal things and the dropper top always pushes out way more than I need. It's kind of hard to control. But even so, the little bottle lasts a long time if you're using it for small things. This is a trusted brand so don't hesitate to purchase!
