Update to my initial review below. Cristian from Blue Tees reached out to me after seeing my review and expressed concern over my dissatisfaction. We worked together to return the original product and they asked if I would be willing to try a replacement unit to which I agreed to do. The new one arrived within a few days and works perfectly. So nice to see a company that stands behind their product and will work to insure customer satisfaction. Thankyou for turning my initial disappointment into such a positive experience. Used it for the 1st time last night, and I never received an accurate reading. It was always reading anywhere from 30 to 100 yards longer than my actual distance (luckily my playing partner had his GPS on the cart). Most frustrating product I have ever tried. I would give it 0 stars if that was possible.

I poured over rangefinders for a few weeks and tested a number of them out at big box stores and finally compared my device (this one) to my buddies. To cut to the chase, the BlueTees S3 Max does everything you want a rangefinder to do. If you don’t want to spend $400 or more, take a hard look at this option and I’ll tell you why: 1 - optics: the optics are very good. Clear, good magnification to see the flag. The Coolshot II stabilized is better at the same distances, Bushnell is slightly better; but I preferred these optics to Precision Pro NX9 and others. 2 - Display: Love the red display so far seeing as both days were overcast. Again, the Coolshot II stabilized and Bushnell Pro XE also have displays that are red and can be seen clearly no matter the lighting. 3 - Accuracy: this device has been right on par with the other top of the line devices I tried and compared in play with my fiends devices from the same distance. 4 - slope: feature works great, same as others. 5 - size: slightly wider than other devices with similar specs. However, fits in my hand nicely. It’s not heavy like a Bushnell, more on par with the weight of the Nikon. 6 - cost: hands down winner, $150 or more cheaper. Caveat - I’ve played 2 cold, windy rounds with the device. I can’t speak to long term durability, but all is well so far. If anything did happen to this device, I would personally opt for the Nikon Coolshot II stabilized as you really can’t beat how clear and stable the view is if your hand is shaking or wind is gusting. I personally don’t mind hitting the flag 2-3 times quickly to make sure I’m confident in the number when the pin and flag are whipping all over the place. It is quick and the flag lock function was solid. I think this is a great value, and for me, seeing as I use a golf app and Apple Watch as well, saving the $150 to spend on other items works. The only reason I didn’t jump to the Nikon is the lack of a magnet for when I’m riding and how small it was in my hand. I liked the BlueTees S3 Max the best out of anything under the $400 threshold(feature packed and reasonably priced). Over that and I think you can’t go wrong, just need to find what suits your eye.

WARNING: poorly made product and bad customer service. The metal ring at the front end of the rangefinder is not secured to the device. This came off when taking it out of the box for the first time, without having used it. After returning for a replacement, the same exact thing happened, but this time I made it to the golf course before it happened. The customer support has been less than satisfactory. I’ve had to reach out multiple times to get a response, and provided the same information twice before there was any sort of resolution. Now, I’m being asked to do more work because the product has failed me twice! I have to pay more money to go and ship this broken range finder to you? I had heard positive feedback on blue tees and wanted to give it a shot, but this has been more of a pain than anything. I would caution anyone looking to buy this range finder of my experience and the poorly made product that will likely break on me again. For the record, I have not even had a chance to play a full round with this range finder as the metal ring seems to be applied with Elmer’s glue. Very disappointed and will take a lot for me to gain trust in this brand again. This

Just got my new 3Max Range Finder and I'm stoked to put it to the test over the next two days! The coolest feature? It's rechargeable and only needs a charge once a month, according to the manual. I'll be sure to share my experience. UPDATE: 6/23/2025 After two days of use, I can confidently say this range finder lives up to its claims. The distances are incredibly sharp and precise, even when cross-referencing with my partner's device. While there were a few instances where it had difficulty calculating due to obstructions like houses in the background, I consider these negligible. What truly stands out is the crystal-clear, adjustable viewer – a real plus for someone like me who wears glasses and needed to fine-tune the focus. The fact that it's rechargeable is a huge bonus, promising long-term convenience without constant battery swaps. Magnet is good!. Considering its affordable price, robust features, and user-friendly design, I feel this was an excellent purchase.

2025 Review (upgraded from 4 to 5 stars): please see review from 2024 below after purchase. After over a year using this range finder and over 50 rounds played i can say it's more than worth the money. Absolutely 0 issues with it. Held up great and my brother in law and i compared it consistently with his Bushnell, 99% we are within 2 yards of a difference, the most was 6 yards over all these rounds. It's robust (I drop it in the fairway after I take the yardage) and I haven't had to change the battery yet. I don't see any reason to replace this ant tome soon. Great product for a great price! 2024 Review: It does what it needs to do and it does it fairly well for the price. It won't fix your swing :-). 2 things i have to criticize: 1. The case should have 2 zipper sleds and the magnetic closure strap doesn't feel like it's strong enough to hold the device in securely. 2. The battery compartment lid seems very thin and i don't have a lot of confidence that it will not break over time. Other than that is good. Easy to use, quite accurate, super comfortable to hold due to it's light weight and small size. I recommend this to weekend golfers with a smaller budget.

This was my first rangefinder and it works great. The magnets are strong can easily stick it to the frame of the golf cart has good clarity battery last forever couldn’t ask for anything more five star.

This range finder is top quality, as accurate as all the usual top brands like the bushnells and garmins. I found the zip on the case to be a bit poor and it broke after about 10-15 rounds but the magnetic clasp has done well enough holding the rangefinder inside. Works well in all weather conditions and is easy and simple to use.
