The brown paper look is a nice change. Lots of room to write notes. Would be better if it flipped backwards rather than tear off each month for those of us who refer to past months.

I should have paid more attention to the listing photos. I was expecting this to be a heavier weight paper and actual brown cardstock style or butcher paper. It feels more like a print on demand product. The paper is actually thin white paper with the brown texture printed on one side. It's a pretty enough calendar and would be sufficient for hanging on the wall, but there is no way it is suitable for desk use. The paper is way too lightweight and would have curled and bent corners within one day. I prefer heavier calendars for desktop use. I will unfortunately be returning this item.

This is our 3rd year for this same calendar. Perfect to hang in the kitchen and keep everything straight! We use colored gel pens on the brown paper. Shows up better.

This calendar is great! Large size makes it easy to add things and it's super cute!

If this was for laying down in a desk, it would be fine. But I was looking for one to lean up on the counter against the wall, and it isn’t quite substantial enough for that. And I need to be able to flip back and forth between months to add things and I have to be careful when lifting the pages so they don’t come off. The paper isn’t as think as I was thinking it would be. I don’t dislike the product, it just wasn’t what I was looking for or worked for what I needed.
