If you enjoy doing things with children you will really enjoy this book. Not sure what age range is recommended on this book, but after having used it I think any age range would be good. Let's face it, you get out of a book, what you are willing to put into a book. Put yourself into a book or two and ENJOY!!! Plus the kids will love it!!

Great for kids
I got this for a 3rd grader who is very interested in all things war related. Some of it is over his head, but he loves it and will grow into it. Lots of neat details, great pictures, cool activities - it’s kept him busy for months. A great introduction to the war.

Out of all the historical books we have gotten I can say this one is our favorite!! I cannot say enough good things about these books. It gives you a true sense of exploring the past with really easy to do projects, games and activities. I have grandchildren ages 9 and 7 and we have really enjoyed this book and the other historical books we have gotten!! The book is made well, the cover is nice and pages are large and easy to read. If you enjoy doing things with children you will really enjoy this book. Not sure what age range is recommended on this book, but after having used it I think any age range would be good. GREAT Book!
I used this book as a our curriculum for a WWII class. It's thick and filled with great information and good pictures...more story than pictures. It covers several points of interest from the war. We did the suggested activities....they weren't dorky. The kids loved them. We followed it up with a trip to a museum. Thanks to the book it was a great class. Kept the kids attention.

A great read aloud for engaged children!
This is a great book for engaged children who want to learn more about this complex topic. My husband read it aloud to our elementary school aged children and they (and he!) thoroughly enjoyed it. Not surprisingly, reading about WWII sparks more questions than answers and we found that it was necessary to read with our children despite their full ability to read more lengthy texts independently. Well worth the time!

My son and I are using this and so far we LOVE it. He almost begs me to do WWII because this book is so well written. My son is 11. The activities are pretty fun and engaging and I have to say that we go pretty slow with the book because we keep talking about all of the information and getting deeper into discussions. Very good pick to get your kids into history.

A Wonderful Book for a Young History Buff
This was a gift to one of my previous upper elementary students who loves history. When he opened it he said, "Hey, this is right down my alley!" I love the activities and applications that make history alive. This is a treasure!

Well written and thorough. Great activities. My daughter wasn’t a fan of the topic so I passed it in to my friend and her son loves it and talks non stop about what he’s learned

A present for my grandsons 9th birthday, he is into WW2 they are learning at school, he loved the book

Mostly great
I bought this to use for 20th century history in our homeschool, which my kids will be studying in year 6. I’ve pre-read it and am still deciding whether it is age appropriate as there is at least one reference to rape in the book.
