Merckens Dark Cocoa Coating Melting Wafers. These high quality dark cocoa coating wafers have a rich taste similar to dark chocolate and will work very nicely for all your candy-making needs. This listing is for a bulk 5 pound package of Merckens dark cocoa coating melting wafers.

Review: Perfect for cookie dipping. - I use this chocolate to coat the bottom of homemade digestive biscuits (cookies). Using the microwave I heat the chocolate for 30 seconds, stir, 15 seconds, stir then 10 seconds followed by stirring for as long as it takes to just melt the chocolate. Then I put 1 Tbsp ( it isn’t really 1 Tbsp because some chocolate always stays on the spoon) on parchment paper and set the 2.5” or 3” completely cooled cookie on top and push down until the chocolate just shows at the edge of the cookie. Leave for 30 minutes and the chocolate dries to a very solid layer. It just peals off the parchment and looks perfect. The chocolate isn’t too sweet and it is easy to work with and store. I freeze my cookies and the chocolate stays perfect. Started with a 2 lb bag but just ordered a 5 lb bag because I am now addicted to digestive biscuits. The two pound was enough for about 60 cookies.
