OXO Good Grips Nylon Flexible Turner

Thick silicone spatulas are useless for actually flipping food in a skillet or griddle and due to the flexibility of the material if they were thinner they would be useless.. This nylon spatula is thin and flexible enough to actually slide UNDER the food instead of pushing it around or destroying it and rigid enough to support it while flipping it. I still prefer metal utensils but you cannot use them on non-stick cookware so this is the next best thing. The only 'bad' thing about it is that food does tend to stick to it so if you are using it heavily you might need to clean it off occasionally. I can live with that. You also have to be mindful of the cooking temperature so you don't damage it but it will handle normal frying temps with no issues.

Replaced an identical one that I've had for probably 10 years. It was just starting to get too worn on the edge to smoothly flip eggs, which is what I use it for. Hope to enjoy for another 10 years!

Great product though they've made it a bit smaller than the original one. These are very durable and so easy to use for flipping pancakes. My old one is still in top shape. I just wanted another one to use if one is in the dishwasher. I took one star off because of the difference in size. Everything else is the same like the heat resistance, quality and functionality. CORRECTION: I submitted the incorrect spatula photo in my initial review. The last photo shows the correct item. It shows my old and new spatula by OXO.

thin enough to slide easily under food...good for smaller fry pans

Our hands down favorite spatula. We always keep two on hand. These are great for flipping eggs, it’s thin enough and flexible so no broken yolks. They last for years with daily use and clean up well in the dishwasher. Worth every penny!

This is my second one, first one cracked after more than a decade of near daily use. It is made of nylon, so it will melt at high temperature (but scrape the melty gunk off the edge with a sharp knife and it is fine). I have only run into the melting issue a few times, always with much higher heat than I normally use (searing steak, making smash burgers). It is something to be aware of, but it does not come up in 99% of situations. It is very flexible, wide enough for big things and has rounded corners to use on little things. Does not scrape non stick coatings too. Handle is comfortable, material and shape make it easy to clean. I have used silicone spatulas as well and they don't stand up they way this one does (start to develop small cracks at leading edge). So I am not even sure a temperatie resistant non scratch version can be made. There is one with exactly the same shape but the turner is a flexible metal.

Begonnen hat alles mit der Salz und Pfeffermühle von OXO. Jetzt bin ich auf dieses Produkt von OXO gestoßen. Ich bin begeistert. Langfristig schaue ich ob das so bleibt. Die meisten Pfannenwender sind nicht breit genug oder sie haben seitlich nach oben gebogene Ränder. Das bringt mir wenig. Ich bereite viel Grillkäse, Camembert und Back Schafskäse zu. Da musste ich mit meinen Pfannenwendern immer etwas jonglieren. Dieser hier ist ideal. Auch für Frikadellen super. Da ist dieser ideal. Falls sich langfristig bzgl. Haltbarkeit oder Material etwas ändert ergänze ich dies. Für den Moment ist das ein Daumen-hoch-Produkt.
