How wide is the actual space for the meat?

Will only tenderize Thin cuts of meat. I had to slice a chicken breast into four layers before it would go through. But it was tender😉 when it came out!

Gears on end are hardened steel it looks like. They may rust a bit but yes it is otherwise dishwasher safe. I drop petrogel (food safe) on mine after running through the dishwasher. This cuber is heavy duty and works awesome.
