Almost perfect
This is a good quality little loom but it would be a lot better if the groove in the wooden piece was wider. It just worked for flannel but I haven't tried denim yet. It's a fun loom for patches and you can get quite fancy with your weaving. It's also very quick to make even a large patch. There is a little instruction sheet but it you haven't used a speedweve there is a lot of information online along with free patterns and fancier patterns for sale on Etsy. I am exceedingly happy with this loom for the price. Very satisfied.

Misleading pictures
If you purchase this product based on its pictures, and the video in its description, be prepared to be shocked. I expected a small loom which would fit in the palm of my hand and would be useful for small repairs to clothes. The disks of the loom I received are a full five and a half inches in diameter and seem much too large for the purpose I intended them. The loom does match the first picture of the gallery, comes with instructions, and seems to be decent quality. But, if you're considering buying it based on all the other pictures and video, don't be surprised if what you receive is three times the size you thought it would be. Actual product dimensions (not just package dimensions as listed in description) are 7 5/8" x 5 1/2".

Handy sock darning tool
Bought this for my frugal daughter for Christmas. She said it works very well and has saved many of her socks from the rubbish bin. Reuse is recycling!

Sharp Edges Need to be Dealt With
I just received the product. I'm glad I read the previous reviews since I was alerted to the sharp edges of the metal frame. I filed the edges, then applied nail polish to coat them. After the polish dried, I taped any edges that may come into contact with fabric and where the rubber band secures the disk to the loom with electrical tape.I have yet to use the loom. I will revisit this review after doing so. Three stars until then, but can't give more than four regardless of functionality, due to having to finish the product myself.

Good
Product came quickly. Quality is good, somewhat hard to use. The tabs that are used to hold the rubber band are flat and the rubber band pops off easily. I solved the problem with a wire tie. Once it was secured the product worked well and made a good weave.

Rubber bands are absolute crap
The loom itself looks functional. The frame is very thin metal and is quite sharp. It kind of defeats the purpose of using it to mend if the loom itself creates more holes.Straight out of the package every rubber band broke before I could even put it in place on the fabric.

Sharp edges, otherwise great
I broke every single rubber band before I realized that it was the edges of the loom that were too sharp. Filed down all the edges with fine grit sandpaper and things were much better after. Mended some homespun handknit socks in no time.

Sharp edges! Be careful
I was shocked at the size of this loom. Not something that can be used for a sock or small sleeve. The metal portion of this loom is quite sharp and has broken all but two of the rubber bands. It could cut a person's finger pretty bad if they are not careful which is why I gave it two stars.
