instructions lack details
I’m not a video watcher. Don’t have the patience. I’m a reader. The printed instructions don’t tell you: - choice of roller in much detail and this is important - it will be very sticky while curing, first eight hours. any dust or any particle that settles on it will be part of your end result - dry rolling to get a smooth surface It has an orange peel texture because rolled it on thickly with a hard foam roller. Now after applying I’m reading in the reviews about dry rolling. Still have plenty. Maybe I’ll sand and try it.

Great Self Leveling & Durable Epoxy
I wanted marble counter tops but couldn’t afford them so I painted white and then painted the marble lines in. I sealed it with this Stone Coat Epoxy and I LOVE them. This epoxy was self leveling. It is so strong and durable too! I now love my countertops!

Perfect over paint.
I used a high bonding primer x2 coats, rustoleum stone spray paint in pebble and the glossy topcoat. Second pic is up close so you can see the sheen. I would definitely use this again. It’s amazing. Watch YouTube for the ratio A/B/h2O. I’m planning on doing another countertop because it looks so good.

Good Product - Potential Operator Error
I used all Stone Coat Products - the bonding primer-sealer, the white quartz kit and Ultimate Top Coat. There was a learning curve on all the products. Great thing about epoxy is if things go fubar, you can just start over or sand-polish. I got the gloss UTC. It didn't come out as expected but I think it was operator error and the incorrect tools. I have lap lines and orange peel visible in some areas on a 24 sq ft counter "peninsular" and a corner of about 10 sq ft. I used a 6" 1/4" nap velour roller because that's all I could find locally, and I needed to get it done. I think the orange peel and lap lines were due to needing to dry roll with additional rollers and maybe I "overworked" the product because I was using a 6" roller trying to get rid of lap lines in the time allowed on a larger area. I should have ordered and waited for a 9" microfiber 1/4" nap kit with extra rollers. They recommend 2 dry rollers for every wet roller. If I ever do it again I'll have 4 dry rollers ready with the 9" 1/4" nap microfiber rollers. Anyway, just ordered some 10000 grit wet sand paper and some polish compound. Onto the next stage of my epoxy countertop learning curve. UTC lesson learned - use the 9" 1/4" nap microfiber rollers, have more than two dry ones ready, don't overwork the product, watch your time and the area you want to cover. When they say 15 minutes they aren't kidding.

They Screwed up my order but still A1 product
Had to literally order twice. The first time, they sent an empty box with NOTHING in it. The replacement had the WRONG gloss finish. I gave 4 stars because I have used the stonecoat products more than a few times and still think it's the best epoxy, despite the 2 screwups.
