Who's telling the truth here???** A: The kit I purchased in July 2017 was definitely OFC copper cable, true 4 ga (NOT 6 ga with extra thick insulation to make it look like 4 ga). Maybe they switched to Copper clad aluminum sometime after that..... **Q: Is this 100% ofc? i dnt want cca.** A: Yes, the ground wire is tinned OFC, the power wire is pure copper, 1911 strands. The speaker wire is also OFC, the RCA patch cables are OFC twisted pair. Grab some furrels and good copper 4awg crimp lugs and dual wall heatshrink for and good install **Q: What does ofc mean?** A: Oxygen Free Copper. Copper and aluminum are the most commonly used wire materials and there is a significant difference in quality, power handling and signal transfer between these materials. The least costly between these 2 options is Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) wire. CCA wire utilizes an aluminum core that is clad or dipped in copper. It is a suitable choice for lower powered systems or restricted budget applications, although the power transfer is not on the same level as the far superior Oxygen Free Copper (100% OFC) wiring. OFC wiring is refined to remove virtually all oxygen and other corrosive elements. it’s ideal for wiring, however this product is a little misleading. Not all of it is OFC. An extra couple feet would have been ideal for a service loop and tidy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Kits On Amazon for the Price *by V***E on 16 November 2017* Fantastic kit for my rockford mono-block. For $50 you get everything in true OFC copper, this kit has a lot for the money. The RCAs are really nice quality, all the wires are nice and flexible, and the hardware that comes with it is also good quality. I really liked how the power wire already came with tech flex, heat shrink, and the terminal already installed for the engine bay, that saved me some time and looked great out of the box. The only downsides are the fuse size and the fork terminal connectors. The fuse is 120 amp, I dont know about you but if im running a system pulling 120 amps im running 1/0 gauge, that seems like overkill for a 2000 watt max wire kit (Personally wounldn't trust 4 gauge at 1500 watts RMS to be honest) . Most people dont even have a 120 amp alternator if they are driving a regular sedan. So i paired it with a 50 amp fuse for $5 (recommended size for my rockford amp) problem solved no big deal. The fork terminals are useless for the rockford amp since they are set screw terminals.
