I don’t know if the company has been investigated but in response to the other two answers. Methylene blue is indeed considered a drug that has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of various medical conditions such as methemoglobinemia and urinary tract infections. It is also often used for diagnostics in various surgical procedures.

Will this stain my mouth or teeth? How much dilution to prevent staining?

Accepted Answer

MB 1% solution is as staining as blue ink for an ink jet printer, so yes it will stain teeth, countertops, or your carpet (which happened today for us.)

However, you can avoid staining your teeth and tongue by purchasing size 00 acid resistant veggie capsules, sold here on Amazon.

Regular size 00 veggie capsules also work, but the AR capsules are thicker, and are white, not clear.  You put 8-11 drops in the longer half of the capsule, then push on the smaller half.

Even AR capsules get soft when filled with MB (or even water, which you can practice with), so be sure to fill your veggie cap over a sink (preferably stainless steel), or outside, just as you would if using ink.

Swallow the capsules and wash it down with water or your favorite beverage.  I use this method myself.

Limeade diluted with water can also be used if you just want to add drops to a beverage.  It hides the taste and is high in Vitamin C.

They say in the comment that it is 0.5 mg per kilo, so that means I have to use if I weight example 68k I have to use 34 drops of this bottle perdose?

When the manufacturer states that a drop has 0.5 mg and there are 1000 drops in a bottle, he is using the technical definition of a drop, which is 0.05 ml. In reality there are 400-500 drops in this bottle using this dropper (half as many). A drop in reality is not the same thing as a technically-defined drop, because different fluids have different densities and surface tension, and dropper sizes vary too. There are 500 mg in this bottle and roughly 500 drops in reality. So a drop in reality is roughly 1 mg, or a little more, 1.25 mg. So if you are targeting 34 mg, then I think you’re correct, roughly 34 drops of this bottle using this dropper.

What is the difference/benefit with ordering the 0.5% and the 1% methylene blue?

One drops of 1% is equivalent to 0.5mg methylene blue, for example, I use 8 drops (4mg) dosage for best mitochondria action. If 0.5% solution is used, then it needs to be 16 drops instead of 8 drops.
