First Impressions:• Wonderful build quality and elegant design with the space grey aluminum shell• Really thoughtfully packaged. The adapters were placed in perfect foam cutouts that prevented any rattling around inside the box. Usually for these kinds of small products, they will simply be inside a plastic bag in the box, so this level of care in the packaging really stood out to me.Functionality:• Not a single bit of wasted space. This is the main standout feature of this adapter. These adapters can fit perfectly side by side on the ports of a Macbook Pro. As Syntech shows on the product page, this is the 3rd iteration of this adapter. I happened to have the 2nd iteration on hand so you can see the difference where I labelled "Old [Version]" on my pictures. The outer shell of the adapter has been made ultrathin while remaining solid and sturdy feeling.• Physical connectivity of the ports is nice and snug. USB devices are all recognized/functional.For longevity of your ports, I recommend first attaching the adapter to your USB-A device, before plugging the USB-C end into your computer. (Instead of wrestling with the devices while they are still plugged into your computer). Likewise for unplugging, I recommend you unplug the USB-C side of the adapter from your computer first, before separating the adapter from your USB-A device.Love this new adapter! This is the smallest and most portable type of dongle you could possibly have, but with the old version of this adapter, it was often more practical to bring a bigger dongle (ie. one connected through a long cable) that wouldn't block the other port. With this new version, you can take full advantage of the portability AND have full functionality.

I had high hopes for these adapters based on the description and other reviews and they looked good when I took them out of the box. I was impressed with the Aluminum construction and that they were small enough to fit side-by-side on a M1 Macbook Pro.However, when I actually tried to use them, I found that there were problems with the design. The female USB A ports are too tight, I thought that I was going to damage the USB port of the thumb drive that I was testing with. I finally got it plugged into the adapter, but removing it later was also a struggle. The USB C side was no better, it didn't want to plug into my Macbook without a significant amount of force.I did some testing and while the thumb drive did show up and stay mounted, it had issues with the Finder copy and seemed to stall out during the copy. Testing with a similar Anker product didn't show the stall/speed issue - the progress bar estimate was consistent throughout the copy.

This adapter is not only of fine quality workmanship, but it is a very handy device to have for several reasons. The newer smaller and more powerful wall adapters often have a USB type C receptacle. Many of my charge cables still have the standard USB plugs. This allows using these new more advanced adapters with these cables having the standard USB plugs. The other benefit is for laptops that have the new USB type C ports. Most of my USB thumbdrives require the standard USB ports. This adapter allows these thumbdrives to mate with the newer laptop USB type C ports. AND, with this adapter, you can also use those charge cables with standard USB plugs to charge devices from a laptop having the USB type C ports. I would highly recommend this excellent quality adapter for the applications stated in the above examples

Wow, was hoping this would work but very disappointed. Tried on Macbook Pro running Monterey and it kills my wifi every time I plug it in. Don't know if it's a driver issue or an RFI issue but no matter what it just doesn't work. Going back. I might order another pair assuming the hardware is defective but will probably just try another brand.Update, it seems to be a mechanical issue. If you keep the adapter out about 1/8 to 1/16 th of an inch it usually works. It seem like something is shorting out when fully inserted. Either the metal housing is too long or it needs an insulator where the cable housing touches the laptop. Look elsewhere if you have a Macbook. Still a 1 rating! Too much of a hassle.

This is a Great Product, works fast, sleek design (thinner than other models) and is REQUIRED if you need to transfer files, or connect from older computers / printers (which only have the USB PORT) to the newer devices which have the faster USB-C PORT. This device (Adapter) connects between these two generation's of hardware. Price is right, and company pledges Full Refund or Replacement if not satisfied.

This is a well-built and properly working product! I have recently purchased a USB C power adapter that can fast charge my Galaxy but the problem is that all my cables are USB A ports and I didn't want to buy more wires when I have perfectly working ones, and so, this USB A to USB C converters were my solutions! I can happily say that I can charge my phone fully at 25W and even use the spare for my laptop that has USB C ports! Really glad that these come in a pack of two.

This product does exactly what it says and exactly what I needed. In fact, I liked it so much, this is my 2nd order! (You can find my earlier positive review somewhere in the Amazon list!) The plugs are small so they don't block adjacent ports. USB A cables plug right in and just work. I'm using them on a new iMac 24 and also on a USB C dock.

It took a very long while for someone to come out with adapters that will fit side by side in a MacBook Pro. These work great. I use them mostly for connecting external drives so I can't say anything with respect to charging. Not sure why anyone would use these with a charger.

Recently bought an M1 MBA and bought this to use with my existing bluetooth mouse. It slotted into the mac with abit of force but unfortunately didn't fit the adaptor for the mouse. Tried it with other USB cables I have but only one out of the many I already own fit so I had to return it.

Does the job perfectly. Fitted well and works well.

You don’t expect much from a adaptor other than it to work! And this gets the job done! Really like the build of this as simple as it is.
