The best metatarsal pad available
First and foremost, you need to put these in the right place - not under the ball of your foot but just behind, under the transverse arch. I have one of these in my running shoes that is still there after 700km and hasn't lost any of its shape, showing the quality of the foam, leather and adhesive. These are second to none.

Good basic arch pads
I had NHS insoles for years that corrected my fallen arches. They don't however fit in most of my shoes and we could forget sandals and heels. This is a very option. It was a little difficult to put in so I grabbed insoles and put them on those, and then put the insoles in. Obviously this does not work for tighter fitted shoes but it's okay in mine. I am very pleased. It was quite uncomfortable the first few days but now that my feet have adjusted that discomfort is gone as well as the discomfort fallen arches create.

These work well and comfortable. Ii had them before and made a mistake of replacing them with some- slightly cheaper-transparent silicone gel pads which didn't do the trick for me. I went back to these and I would buy them again in the future.

Great for toe pain!
I have Mortons neuroma in both feet and it really helped with taking the pressure off of my toes. Added them on top of Spenco soles just cuz I needed the extra support. Takes a few days of adjustment but after that it’s all good

Better than the felt types; these don't flatten out.
I really like these ... better than the 1/4" felt type. I needed a cushion for my metatarsal tear and the felt ones worked for while but after a day or two, they were almost flat. I like that if I need, I can move these to another pair of shoes; but I bought enough so hopefully I won't have to do so. They wash well while on the inner soles of tennis shoes. I just hand wash around them and it works well. These are very supportive or, at least, they work best for my feet.
