Best smart lock ever
Best smart lock in the £100 price range. Easy to install, set up. Good quality. Sturdy.

Superb customer service
At last a product that eliminates the need for front door keys. An issue did arise with the handle that Sifely Support Team promptly sorted for me with little fuss. Delighted with the quality of the lock and ease of use.

It works
Installation took longer than anticipated as our door didn’t have a big enough hole to fit everything attached to the lock so we’ve had to cut a bigger hole.Once everything’s screwed in place, setting up everything on the app was really easy (passcode, fingerprint, card). So far so good, haven’t had any problems locking/unlocking.One thing I wasn’t sure about was how to lock the door from outside without using my phone and it turns out that it locks automatically after 5 seconds (default) of the door being closed - can be changed to longer/shorter delay.Fingerprint is very convenient and is the one I use the most. Phone, passcode and access card as back up.

Almost perfect
The lock is pretty straight forward to install in a wood door.If you're going to use it in a uPVC door, you'll need to drill extra holes etc so be sure it's compatible with your door first. The locks' app functionality is adequate for most needs and does what it says in the documentation.I haven't and won't use a gateway for cloud connectivity as it's too much of a security risk so I can't comment on that functionality. The the one thing I've found so far that really lets it down is the built in speaker, in the app, even on 'volume high', it sounds like a really cheap and nasty piezo speaker and it's very very hard to hear/understand what it's saying.

Useless - returned!
We bought these (in fact we bought 4 in total of the identical). Intended in our B&B to replace simple digital ones believing spending about £100 each on them that they would be easy to use and install and help to remotely resolve issues if a guest had any problems. One day of them being used and we had more problems in that day with all locks than we had in 7 years before that. Even had to climb onto roof and go in through bedroom window to let guests back into their rooms. Removed the next day and returned.

1 year warranty so not suitable for heavy use
Failed after 1 year, batteries failed after 3 months.I bought this for a shop that probably sees about 15-20 customers per day on average. I have rated this 3 star as i am probably using it too much. The battery failed after about 6 months but i got in by using the USB charging port with a power bank. The handle started getting sticky after 3 months and is now about to fall off at 13 months.

Good but a big issue
REVIEWED AT MAY 2024.I bought another similar from the "brother brand" and noticed it has the same wrong behavior, moving the internal lever upwards makes impossible to open it from outside, it accepts the fingerprint or IC card but never moves the latch. To me, it is a faulty design.OIRGINAL COMMENT:Very good characteristics and very solid materials. The installation is done in a very short time, it is really easy. However, I noticed that moving the internal handle up, i.e. contrary to the direction to open and move the latch, the system is not available to open at all, neither using fingerprints, administration code, electronic keys, etc. The only way to open it is to use the physical key provided or if it opened from inside. This is really weird to me. It is not good at all for housing rentals (such as Airbnb). Imagine a guest who involuntarily moves the handle up before leaving, he will never be able to enter again!!! S/he will have to call the administrator to go (probably travel from far) to open the door. This is even worse when the intelligent lock is intended to the main door of a building, where there are several apartments, the involuntary handle movement will make impossible for all tenants to enter the building and they have to call and wait for the administrator to bring the physical key to open the main door ... how annoying and shocking it can be whether this happens in the middle of the night. The support service that is really good and responsive, told me that it could be a defective factory lock and offered me to replace it, however, I am living in Japan and this lock was a kind of US import article, therefore, it was impossible to return it or receive a new one from factory. Fortunately, Amazon's return window was still open and I could return this defective lock.I hope to find another smart lock that has the same characteristics like this, robust enough but fault free.

Just bought a second after 4 years. Lessons to
Just bought a replacement. First one lasted 4 years and one move. Second one fit into previous hardware so didn’t have to change the fittings, that was nice. Beware they really mean it that it should be completely exposed to heavy rain. Get a cover if at exposed sight. That’s how it died at new house, not in a covered area. Lesson learned. Glad to have it working again. Easy to use, love the auto locking so never have to wonder if the front door is locked. We figured for $20 a year over those four years it was worth it knowing our kiddo was never locked out, our guests weren’t walking around with our keys, and our house was alway safe.

You cannot ask more from a smart lock but consider adding a gateway if you need full remote access
I recently purchased this smart lock for my Airbnb property, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. This lock truly offers everything you could ask for in a smart lock.First and foremost, the fingerprint reader is incredibly responsive and convenient. The ability to generate temporary PINs through the app is a game-changer for managing guest access. This feature alone makes it worth the investment, as it simplifies the check-in process immensely.I specifically needed a lock that had physical keys for easy access in case the battery runs out, and this smart lock delivers on that front as well. Additionally, the card reader is a fantastic bonus that adds another layer of versatility and convenience. One point of confusion for me initially was the need for a gateway to generate PINs remotely and access the lock’s history. Without the gateway, these features are only accessible via Bluetooth when you are close to the door. The gateway acts as a WiFi to Bluetooth bridge, allowing you to send instructions to the lock remotely and view access history in real-time. Once I purchased and synced the gateway, all the remote features I needed were unlocked, making this lock even more powerful and user-friendly.Installation was straightforward, and the lock has a sleek, modern design that looks great on my door. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this smart lock. It offers excellent value for the price and has significantly improved the management of my Airbnb property. If you’re looking for a smart lock with robust features, easy installation, and great aesthetics, I highly recommend this one. Just make sure to get the gateway if you need remote access capabilities.

It works perfectly
Awesome lock so far! Easy installation and a user friendly application, what else can be said. Haven’t used the key fob feature yet since biometric access was my main feature, but I’m actually thinking about purchasing other products from the same line. If I can ask a suggestion for whoever is developing the product, please add a simple door handle with just biometrics and no number pad. This would expand your product line to those who want to have private access to all rooms without the bulkiness of a keypad on every door.

Good looking lock, works quite well, touch screen not very responsive
Bought this lock awhile ago and just got to installing it this weekend. Install took a little over an hour and a half. The instructions for the install are pretty decent and if you have installed a normal lock before, its the same process.Once i got the lock installed it software setup time. Again, the instructions arent too bad and were easy enough for me to follow. The lock needs 4 AA batteries for power and as this is new, im not able to state approx how long i expect them to last. Per Sifely there is a battery back option, which I assume means attaching a portable USB power adaptor to it and letting it sit there. But should batteries fail you have keys. You download the software to your phone, then connect to it via bluetooth and then setup a keycode. Now you have full access to the lock to add any additional pins, fingerprints etc. This lock has multiple methods of locking/unlocking. There is also a setting to have the lock auto lock itself after a set time frame which is adjustable. You can also setup a schedule for when you want it to auto lock itself.Fingerprint - was quite easy to do, same as adding a fingerprint to unlock your phone. You can add multiple fingerprints to it for all family members etc. Tested and worked.Physical key. You pop off a magnetic cover insert key and unlock. The keys arent your normal style key and are rather long and when added to your keychain they are like mini weapons. Tested and worked.Phone App - You can use your phone to lock/unlock as long as you are within Bluetooth Range. (More on that later)Pin Codes - You can assign PIN codes for each family member, a guest (if someone is house/pet sitting) and remove those codes. You can set permanent codes, temp codes time limited codes. You can also setup a PIN code on your phone and then send that to the intended party. I had multiple issues with the front screen not lighting up or being unresponsive so i COULD type in an actual PIN. I had to really tap it multiple times to wake up the screen. Tested and worked, kind of.Keyfob/Card - You get a flat card which you put against the front which will also unlock the door. They are a little bulky when on your keychain but Sifely has an option (Sifely Key Fob with Keychain) to purchase a smaller form factor keyfob that looks better and is less bulky. Card Tested and worked. I ordered the Keyfob so i cant speak to it working or not.If you want to add this to Alexa/Google Home, youll need a Gateway, which Sifely also sells. Sifely Smart Lock Wi-Fi Gateway (Model Name: G2). What this does is allow you to actually remotely lock/unlock your device and enable Alexa/Google integration so you can use your voice to lock/unlock or add a Routine and actually unlock/lock it from anywhere. I ordered the Gateway so that test is still pending.I really like the Smart Lock. I like all the available methods to lock and unlock it so im not stuck not being able to get in my house if one of them fails or i can use one of the keys if the entire device fails. I would have given it 5 stars if the front panel actually worked consistently but it doesnt.
