Before purchasing I watched the videos they provide on their website, as well as some customer made videos I found on YouTube. Some of the customer videos it was obvious that either Litcessory did not have installation videos yet, or the customer just did not know about them. I have a very good background in electrical components to include soldering, so this installation may have been a little easier for me than someone without an electrical background, but with the company’s videos, I have no doubt just about anyone could split a Philips Hue Light Strip relatively easily. The pictures I included are from before and after installation, the first is with my overhead light on, the second with only the light strip on. If you purchase this, make sure to watch the videos closely before making any cuts to the light strip. I had no issues with my cuts. The only issue I had was one of the connections on the solder points was not making complete contact so not all of the LED’s were lighting up.
