Bed Frame Footboard Extension Brackets Set Attachment Kit

My bed frame already had holes drilled, so I hand screwed these extenders on and tightened with the included wrench. Super easy! I can now use my vintage headboard and footboard. I paired this with a bolt on to hook on conversion kit, and it worked. It’s not perfect but it gets the job done. It isn’t as stable as I’d like but that’s because I chose not to drill more holes. These extenders come with several holes drilled in so it would be easy to make them stable if you took the time.

These worked well for our application. We had to retro fit a vintage bed frame to a vintage footboard. Sturdy and quality steel.

I had to modify a little bit to fit my situation. Other than that, it worked well.

Worked as described

Unlikely to fit the frame unless you drill new holes in the bracket or bed frame. Additionally the mounting face didn't match the footboard. You might as well just buy some angle iron and have a welder add a mount plate. The item is functionally useless.

In order for this item to work, at least for me, was to attach it using only the last hole on the extension. This means that the extension is free to move up and down. If I were able to attach it using 2 holes on each side, it would attach securely to the end of the bed frame. As a result, the footboard is wobbly with no way to make it study.

The footboard on my Grandmother’s bed broke and is unfixable using the original way it attached to the bed frame. So we decided to just use an old Hollywood bed frame that we had to attach the headboard. As we worked to attached the headboard, my husband suggested we add extensions to the bed frame and add the foot board back. We have not completed the project yet because I decided to refinish the headboard and footboard. So no pictures yet.
