Exceeded expectations...
Kind of shocking what an 8" will do. Skar gets a lot of hate, but nothing about the packaging or product indicates low quality. I feel I've received good value for my money. Update: The tuning of the box is a bit annoying. There is an amazing amount of gain near tuning, then it falls off a cliff below. For most music it hits really nice, but bass tracks that dig deep the sub leaves much to be desired. Starboy and similar tracks play amazing, but Killshot is basically unplayable. Bass just disappears below tuning. Blueberry yum yum is another difficult track. First part of beat hits nice, when it drops it quiets to a whisper. I like them 30's -N- Low's, so leaves me wanting. I wouldn't mind trading some gain for a bit lower F3. Otherwise I'm satisfied. This is in-cab with a 2nd gen xB. A hatchback or similar compact car this package will do nicely, stuffed in a trunk maybe not so much.

Product quality
Family and I have been using Skar products for years, absolutely ZERO complaints. I just upgraded to this 10inch EVL. Boy am I glad I did. Clean and stong bass. Dont hesitate to pick one or two up

Punches way above its class. Looks like a featherweight, hits like Tyson.
The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the speaker box has a unpleasant odor. I'm sure it'll eventually stop smelling funky. As for the sound.... This puppy slaps, HARD! It has the ability to hit all but the very lowest frequencies, the 12" would pick those up, but the 10" can't quite tackle the super low stuff, everything else make my side view mirrors vibrate like crazy. I'm very impressed, I haven't even turned the bass nob up past 50% yet, after breaking it in I will see how hard it can hit. All the comments about this sounding better than 2 12's is no joke, it punches way above its weight class. Mack Lethal's song "Angel of death" ft. Tech nine is very nice mice, so are a lot of Yelawolf's "Pop the trunk" "Daddy's Lambo" and "Rowdy" are noteworthy for sure!
