Works and looks great, easy to use but skip if the voice recording feature is important to you
TL;DR: Works and looks great with the exception of the recorded message feature. I bought this autofeeder for my cat out of desperation. She meows incessantly for 45 minutes or more before meal times which annoys my dog into shriek howling with every meow and causes me to contemplate double murder. I've only had this feeder for a couple days but so far it is working great! My cat is still learning that she must appeal to her new machine overlord for food, but she is already much better than she was. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I will update my review if anything changes. PROS: - Easy set-up. It takes a few minutes but unless you're changing the schedule all the time for some reason, it's really not terrible. Some reviews claim you have to cycle through every time and portion to change something but that's not true. You can use the "+" and "-" buttons to navigate to the meal slot you want to change without starting from the beginning. Unused slots will have a time but if you set the portion to zero they will not dispense anything. This is probably obvious but it did confuse me for a second. I set mine to have 4 meals spaced 6 hours apart and it's been working like a charm. - No jamming problems even with larger kibble so far. The cat food I buy has larger chunks interspersed in with smaller kibble and I was worried that it might jam up the dispenser. So far it has been working just fine. It has a helpful sticker on the lid that shows you the largest kibble size it will accommodate and it seems to be accurate. I bought the 5L version which holds 4-5 lbs of food. - My devious cat has yet to figure out how to get extra kibble from it. The panel auto-locks so she can't press any buttons. I've seen her stick her paw up the chute to dig around but she hasn't succeeded in any extra snacks yet as far as I can tell. It's only been a few days so time will tell if she will use her demon powers to beat the machine. I would suggest either putting this feeder on the floor or securing it in place because I suspect that my cat would be able to push it off a table and/or knock it over of it was empty enough. The weight D batteries alone might make it relatively stable to tipping though. I have not actually seen her move it yet but I remain wary because she is a larger cat at 14 lbs and generally a menace to society*. - It seems well-made and is very sleek and modern looking. Appearance is less important than function to me but it does look quite nice. - I like that there is a battery meter display even when plugged in. I intend to have it plugged in all the time but it will be nice to know when the back-up batteries need to be replaced. - After completing set-up, I decided to move the feeder and had not installed batteries in it yet. I was expecting to reset at least the time but was pleasantly surprised to see it did not reset at all. It was unplugged for all of 10 seconds so I can't attest to how long it can go without power or batteries before resetting the time. - A customer service rep from PETLIBRO messaged me before my product arrived with some helpful tips and reminder that they have customer service available 24 hours on week days if I need it and a 12 month warranty. I have not had a need to contact customer service but I thought the pro-active message was nice. CONS: - It is not clear from anywhere in the instructions what constitutes a portion. From my measurements, it seems that one portion is equivalent to approximately 1/8 cup. I am happy with this portion size but I wish it had been clear without requiring experimentation on my part. - In my opinion, the only truly poor feature about this product is the recorded message option (whether you intend to use it or not). Other reviews mention that the recording quality is very poor and I have to agree. It is very staticy and mine also makes a rhythmic rasping noise even when recording silence. I had no intention of using this feature anyway as the sound of a pin drop would probably send her scrambling from across the house if it meant food. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a way to delete or turn off the recording without resetting the whole machine. I hit the record button by mistake during set-up, which is very easy to do, and I didn't want to start over. I "bypassed" it by hitting the record button quick succession to create as short of a recording as I possibly could. The quick blip of static when it dispenses food doesn't bother me but it is annoying you can't just turn this feature off all together. This is by no means a deal breaker to me but if having a nice recorded message is important to you, I would not recommend this feeder. - Not exactly a con but I prefer a shallow dish for feeding my cat. The bowl that comes with the feeder is deep but it is a nice bowl and I like that it has a tray that attaches to the feeder to keep it from being kicked around. Luckily her old shallow bowl fits nicely within the provided bowl and I haven't noticed any issues with spilling while doing this. Not a big deal but something to consider if it matters to you. *I promise that I actually love my cat very much! 😂 Picture attached. She's the best cat in the world... when she's not hungry.

Nice features but too inaccurate to use
Unfortunately we are returning this product. We already have 2 PetLibro water fountains and the smaller 'Air' feeder. They have done their job the 5 months we've had them and our cats like them. The one drawback for the Air feeder is its size - with 2 cats I have to refill it ever 3-5 days. Otherwise it works well. Some reviews were concerned it didn't dispense accurately but I measured several times and it always provided an amount within about 10% of expected - close enough. So I ignored the reviews that said to be careful of this same problem with the Granary. I thought the larger capacity of the Granary meant I'd be able to go 1-2 weeks between refills given it was 2.5x the capacity. My wife also liked the idea of the camera feature so she could see if the cats were eating equally or if just one was using it more. When I set up the Granary it looked like the same mechanism as the Air, but it doesn't work the same way or nearly as well. For some reason it takes a looong time to dispense. Doing the testing during setup took 5 minutes to get it running but over an hour to test how well it put out food because dispensing even just 4x portions took forever (what was supposed to be 1/3rd of a cup). For some reason it pauses between each portion (portion, pause, portion, pause...) and each portion takes almost as long as several portions from the Air. It also makes a lot more noise than the Air, on top of the food hitting the bowl - it sounds like it is straining to dispense the food. I could live with slow dispensing, it was the wildly inaccurate dispense amount that was the deal breaker. The other reviews are right. I tried dispensing in cups, grams, and oz (all 3 possible units). It *never* dispensed more than half as much as it was told. If it always dispensed half I could adjust and just double the scheduled servings. However it wasn't just wrong, it was also wildly inconsistent - dispensing between 20% and 50% of the directed amount with no pattern to the ratio. These aren't guessed values - I recorded the requested amount and then used a measuring cup or scale to measure the result, testing multiple times with different portion counts. There is no way to compensate for that much variability. I followed the troubleshooting and definitely put out way more then the 'it will be inaccurate for the first 6 servings'. The kibble I use (purina pro plan kitten) is within their size recommendation (they have a handy 'no bigger than this' sticker on the machine). Nothing improved the inaccurate and inconsistent serving sizes. Maybe my particular kibble is just too close to being the wrong size or shape despite fitting in their recommended circle. Back to using the smaller Air feeder.

Functional but dispenses unevenly
Camera works well, day or night. Easy to set up and link. Notifications are great to let you know when cats are near their dishes. Unfortunately it doesn’t dispense food evenly. Even after multiple attempts as the product suggests, it doesn’t correctly dispense in each dish. For the cost of the product, it’s disappointing that it doesn’t function properly.

Feeder good, with pros and cons
I wanted to give this feeder a few extra days testing before I posted my review for my 2 cats. Goods: * No issues connecting....my router is 10 feet away, Wifi through the app worked well...I used the non-lite app version as was instructed. * While it seems to dispense well, the ration for the dual trays are hit and miss...this isn't really a problem as am putting in a minimum amount through several daily feedings as I believe in mostly wet food feeding...I purchased it mainly for days I am out longer in between the canned feedings. * The cam videos...some are good....but there are cons... * The feeder holds 5L of food, which is plenty depending on your pets feeding habits. I have not had any real issues (yet) as to how it dispenses, no jams (kibble is small/round). * I set up calling my kids with my voice during scheduled feedings, and it works. * Feeding schedule is easy to do. * Getting around the app and making changes and viewing videos is good. * Looks nice and modern, blends with decor. * Stainless steel bowls...(Con)..but getting them out to clean is a struggle as they are recessed to keep kibble from falling through gaps..A hole under the base under each bowl to pop it out makes sense. I used a regular square napkin below the bowl with a corner sticking out to remove easily. * The lock button works well, as my one cats tried to trigger the unit to feed. Just remember to long press the unlock key to use it. It will automatically lock again on its own. * They haven't knocked it over yet..the dual trays help keep it stable. (Plus the weight of the food.) Cons: *Having issues with playback, sometimes it works, sometimes not, I purchased a128gb card to accommodate my recordings, as I will not pay subscription prices...for 150 bucks...well...you decide...same for the silica packs... * The camera should show the whole bowl, not just half...I would like to see all of what's in the bowl...I've overfed with manual feedings when away, and I didn't need to because I could not see the back half of the bowl. * The camera likes to take random pictures (purple flashes) before it shoots a video which I don't know why, and it adds unneeded files to my SD card. I don't know if it's a glitch or what. It's not motion from anything. And it's not recording sound. *Some of the video is grainy, on HD, with multicolored fuzz...it's possible the nightmode change triggers this....still investigating... *The Desiccant holder accommodates the 10gram pouches I purchased separately (the con is I won't pay $15 for a 6 pack from Petlibro when I can pay $10 for 30 packs for a reputable brand). 14 days to change the silica pouch seems a bit early, but that depends on the food and it's moisture content. * The feeding system is confusing.....1/12 cups is like 2-3 teaspoons..I need 3/12 cups to give 1/4 of an actual cup of kibble. Why can't it just be normal measurements? This was the most frustrating part I had to look at the reviews here to figure it out. My conclusion is it's still a good buy, you get to feed your kids when you're gone for extended periods and not have to worry about them going hungry, You can even watch them live when they do... It is a bit overpriced but it's also peace of mind when it works properly. If they would change the feeding measurement ratios to match true cup measurements, that would be a plus.... The camera is hit and miss for recording, perhaps app updates will help the camera software... the main reason is for the feedings, and it does do that.

Keeps malfunctioning (error codes) while I’m away at work
Product worked great when we first set it up. We made sure to use small kitten granule sized food for proper function, connected it to WiFi and set up a feeding schedule. After 2.5 weeks we have now started getting error messages daily while we are not home saying the feeder rotor is stuck or foreign object in feeder which isn’t true. It’s happening every day now. We’ve dumped all food out to ensure there was no particular blocking it and restarted the feeder. It’ll drop one, maybe two feedings and then throw an error code again. It’s frustrating to have this happen when we paid 100.00 for an auto feeder just for it to error daily when we aren’t home so the feedings aren’t dropping. It’s the exact opposite of what we wanted to do with getting the auto feeder. I have no reasons or explanations of why it’s malfunctioning only after 2.5 weeks of owning it but maybe look elsewhere for an auto feeder. I like that it’s WiFi and I have a repeat drop feeding schedule but I can’t keep troubleshooting when I go home every night after work, meaning the cats haven’t been fed like they should by the time I get home. It’s frustrating.

Terrible product
- Does not dispense food evenly. Resetting, updating firmware, or adjusting the cheap plastic meal splitter does nothing to help it distribute evenly. - Motor is slow and weak. It dispenses the meal slowly in short bursts of food causing your pet to be hit in the face as they try to eat what has already been dispensed. - The bottom portion which comes in contact with food is not removable / machine washable. - If you want to automatically record feedings you have to subscribe to their video cloud service which is 59.99$ a year. (You can access the camera via the phone app and save video's and pictures to your phone manually for free) - The machine itself is made out of cheap plastic materials and feels low quality / flimsy. Similar build quality to other 50$ feeders on amazon. - There is not an included rechargeable battery. You need to separately purchase D batteries to have a battery backup. I would expect that to be included at this price. - The description says you can set up plans for two different cats. This is not true as far as I can figure out. You simply set up one meal plan and then double the portion size. Trying to set up something like a 70 / 30 split does not work since the meal splitter is useless. I bought this together with a Petlibro fountain. It is nice that they run in the same app. The fountain works well, however I would avoid the feeder.

Functional Dual Cat Feeder
To start, I have a few petlibro products that I love and use for my two cats. I bought this dual kibble feeder based on its great reviews. The set up was easy and it was just another product to add to the petlibro app. I love it's function and the overall look of the kibble feeder. The lid can be easily taken off to fill kibble, but don't let it fool you, the cats can't get in there at all. My only critique is even with the separater, the two bowls never get the same amount. It's said to automatically balance itself out after approximately six feedings but I have been using it straight out of the box since January this year and never has it been an equal amount. Overall, it is a great product and I need to figure out if I can fix this problem. PS: You don't need to buy the petlibro desicant replacement pouches. There are a ton offered on Amazon that fit.

Easy to use
Great for our two cats, they share the bowls and have no problems. It’s easy to set the timer schedule and a budget friendly option if you work throughout the day and need to feed the kitties.

Works great!
Very happy with the feeder! A great option for a single-cat household. The setting-up process is a bit of a hassle but the machine is always responsive so you get used to it. I only wish that the portions were a little smaller so that I can have more control over the quantity of food. I find that for my cat, 1 portion is too little but 2 portions is too much. Nonetheless, once you figure out an overall system for your cat's food, it works out.

Good product!
I absolutely love this product! I no longer have to wake up at 6 AM to feed my cats, and the built-in camera lets me check on them anytime. It’s a game changer!

Autonomie totale
