Easier to use than the spray
I've been using the Bactine Max for a couple of years but was buying the spray bottles which are very difficult for me to operate. Also, too much of the product gets left in the spray bottle. This bottle makes application easier. If you want you cam pour some into your own spray bottle. The 4% lidocaine is very helpful in relieving pain and itch. it doesn't sting and I use it often on little children with no complaints. Icall it "magic water." I also use it on my dog after removing embeded ticks to cleanse the wound. Highly recommended.

The best for minor wound care
I've been using this product since I was 7 and needed it for cuts and scrapes. There will be no "mommy it stings!" talk because the analgesic in it is very effective. I now use it for healing piercings and minor injuries and I have never gotten an infection (knock on wood) after using this. It smells very peculiar but it's not bad and I sort of like it after having gotten used to it. This is a great staple to have. I keep one in my first aid kit in the car, one in my bathroom, and a backup just for prosperity.

A safe & helpful product for me & my pets!
I bought this antiseptic with lidocaine spray to help my pup who was chewing his one paw due to allergies. Because his vet prescribed medication takes several day to start working, I use this to stop this licking and help him through this temporary time. Very little does the job! I also use this product on my skin when I have bug bites that I have been scratching & subsequently made worse. The antiseptic in the product cleans the area & the Lidocaine in the product soothes the pain & itch.

Back to the past- At last
I also am delighted to find Bactine with the old twist-off cap. Does this mean the company is finally aware of how rediculous their nonfunctioning spray bottles are? I resorted to cutting into the plastic bottle with a single edge razor blade and then transferring the contents to an empty spice bottle. Another option was to smash the spray top with a hammer and pouring the contents out of the damaged top. I have never understood how they were able to get repeat buyers. The spray top is not ergonomically correct for human use! (The product inside is excellent.)

This Squeeze Bottle is the Best Applicator
Do not purchase the spray top; it takes an inordinate amount of pressure to press down. This squeeze bottle is still the best way to control where and how much Bactine to apply. Really helps to alleviate the pain.

Bactine is the golden standard for name brands.
I really forgot about how valuable Bactine antiseptic is. Everyone hated it as a kid because it burned when mom or dad put it on but that was the deal because it really worked. Even at my old age I'm very thankful to have it in my medicine cabinet. The easy pour bottles are better for smaller areas. Put a little Bactine on a q-tip to apply to a smaller area. Spray containers sometimes are just a little too much yet still affective.
