HENCKELS Razor-Sharp Steak Knife Set of 8, German Engineered Informed by 100+ Years of Mastery, Sliver

This review is for the HENCKELS one-piece stainless steel Steak Knife Set of 8. This price of $44.95 is quite reasonable as other knives can be double the price or more. I already owned 4 of these knives and we love them. So glad I was able to find this company after having bought our original knives so many years ago.Decided to get rid of our mismatched other steak knives and just get more of these. They are solid feeling and well balanced. Attractive mirror finish blades with satin finish on the handles so no finger prints.My old set of four held their edge for decades but now are showing their age a little so this new set will replace them. Of course the serrated edges cannot be sharpened at home and I don't think it would be worth the cost to sharpen the old ones. There is no flat side to the serrated blades which is why these knives cut so beautifully.I'll keep the old ones wrapped in case we have company and need more on the table. They're still quite serviceable.

These knives last and are sharp! We’ve had ours for over 20 years and still sharp! We just purchased a set of these for our daughter’s new place. She loves them too. They are just the right size and no bulky handles. They fit in the utensil caddy of the dishwasher so easily. They are a great price for a designer name brand. They work wonders. I even use them in place of a pairing knife, to cut apples etc… these are the only steak knives we will buy.

I love love love these knives. They are winners. Good looking, very sharp, hand or dishwash, I prefer hand washing. They cut thru frozen bagels in one quickslice. Well worth the price. I keep mine out on my counter in a wood block and constantly use them for cutting other things, sandwiches, potatoes, veggies, you name it. they have maintained their sharpness ever since I bought them. I highly recommend this product if you want a nice looking, sturdy, good handling steak knife that is moderately pricedl. I love mine.

These are pretty decent for the price. They are sharp and not too big like some knit sets. They should last a long time. Some of them have fabrication grinding marks on the handles which is less than ideal. They appear to have some rust spots already as well. Good to use but not up to what I would like for a set to use with company for dinner.

These came this morning. Despite the packaging being well designed to hold them, three of the eight were flopping about randomly in the package. I would deduct a star, except I cannot tell whether Henckels didn't put the knives in properly or the package itself was savaged by one or more carriers en route. Also, none of the knives seem worse for the wear.That being said, the product itself does live up so far to its largely positive reviews -- attractive, very sharp (the first one I tried cut through an orange better than anything else I have), and feels better in the hand than any metal utensil has a right to (I'm normally partial towards wood handles, but I went for durability/long life this time). I look forward to a long relationship.

I've tried several other brands that all showed rust spots after going through the dishwasher. I've washed these in the washer multiple times now, and no rust or spots!

I like that each knife is just one piece, and not a blade fitted into a handle. The handle itself is small, but the knives have a nice weight and they are very sharp. Very pleased.
