When I started reading the instructions I saw where I would have to cut a hole and retrofit air filter. GM did not make this easy to get to. It looks like they plan to do a cabin air filter but changed their minds. You will need: 7 mm deep socket plus 1/4" nut driver and ratchet wrench plus 7/32" socket A way to cut through the plastic. I used an oscillating saw and Dermal rotary tool to sand smooth my cut. Helps if you have tools to remove plastic trim on right front console. Lights to see under dash. I watched a bunch of U Tube videos until I got the idea of how to. It really helps to be flexible. The retro kit is great and does what it is designed to do. If I ever want to change the filter all I need to do is remove 2 screws and remove the cover (I didn't put the far left blind screw back). Unscrew the provided bracket then remove filter.
