Brach's Nips Caramel Flavored Hard Candy, Individually Wrapped Candies, 3.25 Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)

These delicious hard caramel candies were originally the brainchild of a company called Pearson. They were called “Nips” and they came in a few different flavors. However, the caramel flavor is the original, and it was always, by far, the best. However, I do wish they would bring back the ones that had a peanut butter filled center. Those were also phenomenal. Because I am a caramel fiend, I had sought out and tried every version of a hard caramel candy I could find. A second runner-up to Nips is Werther’s. These are also great, but in my opinion, they are closer to a butterscotch than a true caramel. You will not find a more original caramel flavor than you get with Nips. About four years ago, all of a sudden, I could not find Nips in any of the stores that have always carried them. I was heartbroken and had to find out what the heck happened to my favorite candies. After doing research, I found out that Brachs bought out the Pearson company. I reached out to Brachs to find out when they were going to start selling Nips. Months later . Months later, they premiered their version of Nips, which are now simply called “Hard Caramels”. The name is a little boring, but it is the exact same candy and the flavor is perfect. I don’t know what the issue is, but they are still extremely hard to find in stores here in Louisville, Kentucky. So a few years ago, I found them here on Amazon and that is how I’ve been purchasing them ever since. You can buy individual bags from various sellers, but if you love these candies as much as I do, it’s worth the investment to just buy a whole case at a time. The cost per bag is significantly cheaper that way. That said, if you’ve never had them before, you may want to buy just a couple of bags to see if you like them before investing in a whole case. I encourage you to give them a shot. I feel confident in saying that you will fall in love with them as much as I did 40 years ago.

Definitely less candy than the amount that was previously in the Nips boxes. Flavor taste the same. Will buy again.

Very close to the old Pearsons ones we used to buy everywhere and much better than the new butter rum flavor as they ruined the taste and texture of the old butter rum nips we all loved. I think Amazon is the only place selling them now as never see them any place else.

BUYER BEWARE! These are pictured as caramel nips, however they are caramel hard candies. These are NOT caramel nips. I was very disappointed, although they taste good. I really loved caramel nips and hard candies are not the same. They are nonrefundable because they are a food item so you will have to live with a hard candy. Seller should put the correct picture with the product.
