Roku Streaming Stick 4K: Powerful, Reliable, and So Good I Bought Two More
Iโve been using the Roku Streaming Stick 4K (3820EU) for over a year, and itโs been a fantastic addition to my home entertainment setup. The device is impressively compact and easy to install, fitting discreetly behind my TV. The streaming quality is excellent, delivering vibrant 4K UHD picture with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ that really enhances the detail and color richness of movies and shows. Performance is smooth thanks to the quad-core processor, and the dual-band Wi-Fi ensures no lag or buffering, even on high-bitrate 4K streams. The included voice remote makes navigation and playback control simple, focusing on media-specific commands which work well for me. One important note about Bluetooth: while the Roku stick doesnโt support native Bluetooth audio output, you can easily connect Bluetooth headphones through the Roku mobile app using Private Listening Mode. This lets you route audio to your phone, then to your wireless headphones for convenient private listening. The app also doubles as a remote control, so you can fully control the stick from your smartphone, which is a handy feature if the physical remote is out of reach. Rokuโs vast app selection and clean interface make content discovery easy, and features like Apple AirPlay integration add extra flexibility. Even after long-term use, this Streaming Stick remains reliable, quick to start, and easy to use, making it a great value that turns any TV into a smart 4K media center. So good I purchased another two.

Easy peasy setup
Really quick and easy set up compared to another stick I recently tried. Comes as standard with apps for BBC iPlayer, Channel4, ITV, Prime Video, Netflix and Disney+ among others. Very impressed with the setup, including detecting my TV and adjusting the remote so that the TV is switched on/off with the stick. Working really well, great picture, great value, my only reservation is that power is supplied via an older type micro USB-B, rather than the USB-C I expected. However that does not affect the use of the product, so very minor.

Excellent value for money with a couple of minor annoyances
This Roku stick works very well and represents excellent value for money when compared to similar offerings from Apple, Amazon, Google, etc. The current range of Roku sticks is confusing! This appears to be the best of the 3, offering 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision. Unfortunately, it's also the one with a USB Micro port instead of USB-C. This is annoying for me as I like to standardize all my gadgets on USB-C. I doubt I would have selected it if this had been obvious at the time of purchase. Another minor annoyance is that the initial setup requires a payment method. This seems a little premature when the majority of users will already have subscriptions to the services they want to use. I chose Paypal as a method and then subsequently unlinked it from my Paypal account. I've made a few criticisms but I'd like to finish on a positive. The Roku Stick is very user-friendly and delivers exactly what I wanted which was to have a portable solution to use in hotels while working away. I think it would serve an equally good solution for those who want it permanently connected to a TV.

Easy to use and geat picture
Got this to replace my Apple TV....Apple TV is fantastic but my partner can't get on with the interface or remote. This is just her cup of tea. Easy to use, easy to set up, more tactile remote. Clear what you're about to click both on screen and on the remote. I set it up for her and it was really, really simple. Only thing to note is that the stick is quite long. My initial idea was to set this up on a small portable monitor then take it to the TV. The design of my Raspberry PI monitor didn't allow enough room for the stick. Probably never, ever going to be an issue on a regular TV but worth noting depending on your use case. Quality wise...I can't tell any differnece between this and my Apple TV. Works with HDR, picture is just as clear. No pixelating and sound seems just the same. One thing to mention is the start up time is longer if you power the device from a USB on the TV compared with keeping it plugged in. It's not crazy long, only a few seconds but definitely there. Power on the TV with the Roku remote, the Roku has to boot and then the remote has to pair. Less than 10s but another thing to note. Overall, if I knew then what I knew now, I'd probably have bought this over my Apple TV. All my favourite apps are there (even Apple Music) and best of all, it let me delete the BBC iPlayer app! Nice.

Cheapest AIRPLAY device you can get
The Roku Streaming Stick is by a big margin one of the best purchases anyone with an old (or even new) tv can make. I have a Samsung โsmartโ TV (2015) which sadly now runs the older Samsung OS so everyday is becoming less and less smart, i decided to go with Roku instead of Amazonโs own stick due to airplay capabilities and boy oh boy it was the right decision. The Roku sticks works wonderfully both mirroring iPhone/iPad but also casting video and audio through AirPlay, although it does not support VPNs, i can connect my iPhone/iPad to VPN and cast video and it works great. UI is simple but effective, with minimal ads, and a wide array of apps to download. This model includes de remote that will also control your TVs volume, mute and power, so no need for a second remote, you can also download the Roku app on your smartphone which you can use as a second remote or to use as private listening device, very useful if you have kids in the house. I have just one minor gripe with the remote, if you power the Roku from a 1A USB port at the back of the TV, when the TV is off the remote is going to consume a significant amount of power trying to connect to the stick (the two connect through Wifi), so be ready to replace batteries rather frequently (they have lasted me around 3 months, which is ridiculous when other remotes (IR) would last years), although if you power it (Roku stick) from the mains you should not have this problem. The stick supports 5GHz Wifi so should be nice and fast, and includes all the major apps: Channel 4, iTV, BBC, my5, Netflix, Disney+, NOW, AppleTV+, Youtube, Prime Video, Spotify, Apple Music, even F1tv (although you canโt watch live races) and many more. Overall i am very happy to bring my not so old tv back from the brink of tech death and highly recommend the stick, especially if you have an iPhone but not an apple tv.

Not worth it!!
If I could give 0 stars I would!! Remote is faulty, waiting over a month with excuses waiting for a replacement, which doesnt look like its going to arrive, now left with a useless piece of kit unable to be used unless with the app, which for some is useful, but not in our household. Looking for a refund as not even 1 year old before breaking!!

Simple quick and always works perfectly.
If you're worried about how simple this is to use then don't worry. The menu system and options are really clear and easy to use. It has never lost connection to the Wi-Fi and the apps/channels have never failed to connect or seized up. It could be a bit long for some peoples setups, all in it's 9.5cm long including the plug in bit and there's 8.5cm of it sticking out of the telly. It gets warm but never hot. If my HD telly was wall mounted I'd have use the right angled HDMI connectors because my HDMI sockets point backwards from the back of the telly and not downwards like they do on the new 4K telly, I've got some anyway and this device also works perfectly fine with both of mine. My only criticism is that it can't be turned off, it's always on with much lower consumption. If you need to check anything out on a Wi-fi network then you'll have to disconnect it from the power supply, luckily this isn't an issue for me. This was plugged into our downstairs telly among the scary mass of wires among the consoles and TV boxes etc. That was an HD TV, picture is excellent at all times. Tried it out on our new 4K TV and the picture is even better and still no issues, really old standard definition obviously looks a bit ropey on a big telly but that's not down to the Roku stick and all telly brands handle old fashioned video differently to other each other anyway. It's very fast to respond to key presses and voice control, no lag or hanging around. The voice control very rarely returns a comedy result from our various accents and is excellent. The user interface/menu system is very easy to use. Netflix, BBC, ITV, Disney, C4, Youtube etc all work perfectly. The Roku has now moved upstairs to the bedroom with the old telly because the new 4K one downstairs has all the apps built into it and the simple robust remote is great for cuddling up and watching a film in bed. The remote isn't like a traditional one and doesn't need to be pointed at the telly so there's no issues with the device being plugged in the back of the telly out of site. I even use it from other rooms, especially to turn adverts down when I've got music blasting out, say when I'm hoovering or making a brew. It has volume buttons that turn my telly down, it's part of the setup steps when you first use the device and was really easy to follow. Simple to use, never fails to function and is really slick and responsive with a great picture and sound quality. A genuine bargain.

It's plug and play, so simple to use!
Really impressed with the Roku 4K streaming stick, it's given an aging LG TV a new lease of life! Extremely simple to set up, basically just plug and play, absolutely no connectivity issues. Brilliant picture and sound quality and a good range of apps available. The Roku stick is so small and discreet you wouldn't even know it was there! I like the option of being able to power the stick from the TV's USB socket so no need for a separate power supply. Would I buy one of these again? Yes if I had the need for one, I think they're excellent value for money.

Nice, but be careful....
The software, remote and stick are excellent. the support team in US also is very helpful. but unfortunately it is not meant to be used in the region, you cannot download apps like Shahed and several features are not accessible from the region

Very slow, limited apps with sluggish response
Per my internet browsing i thought it is a best device. But it is not. It is slower. Not very good bunch of apps. Apps are not well developed. Main screen interface is not that appealing too. Sometimes freezes.
