We’ll find out how strong it is, but it seems to be very good quality and has the hook and rubber stop already on it. The steel cable is always a pain to work with whereas this rope does not have the frayed steel of the cable. Went on very easily. I had replaced the one on my other bike and it is held up very well.

**Q: how to use rubber stopper**
A: You install the rubber stopper wright behind your clevis hook. This is to prevent the bottom of your hardware going in to far of your roller for your winch.

**Q: How long is the protective sleeve?**
A: Approx. 3 feet long. I do not use mine at all. It binds up the rope.

**Q: Did you have to purchase an additional attachment to make it compatible with a steel cable winch? I can't easily install.**
A: No, but...if you have a roller fairlead (used with wire cable) you may want to switch to a hawse (smooth aluminum slotted) fairlead. Roller fairleads can abrade or pinch synthetic rope and weaken them significantly.
