my brother picked one up in a goodwill thinking it was the weirdest thing he'd ever seen, it had no batteries, so wasn't working, he guessed it was a jar opener and thought it was worth $2.99 just to see how it operated, there were no instructions or anything. I was very skeptical and said it wouldn't work or it wouldn't be at goodwill. We're seniors so I'm always yelling at him to open jars. I put batteries in the thing and WOW it amazingly opened the jar. We tried jars of every size, and it worked with everything we had. Just amazing !!!! Simple, hold it on till it has a grip and then watch it open the jar.I had lunch with two friends shortly after that. One who'd had a lot of hand surgery, lived alone and complained frequently about not being able to open jars. I told her about my new device. She said oh she wished she had one. My other friend is a guy who said the arthritis in his hands keeps him from opening jars and it was his wife's job till she died.Well, I came home and searched and searched using the picture of my new device. And I found them on sale here on amazon. Many places selling much higher than these.It's such a fabulous device if you struggle opening jars for any reason, that I bought five jar openers so I could give them to several of my friends who struggle with opening jars. I've demonstrated their use to each one when I gifted them. And every single one of my friends have loved them. A few more of my friends have now seen them and want one ..... so I know everyone on my list is getting for Christmas. This is truly the most useful device I have ever owned.As I've joked to several of my female friends, this device could totally eliminate the need for a man in your house !!!PS no offense guys, I know many of you are wonderful humans and have much more value than just opening jars

This is so fun and saves my hands. I have found out that it won't open a lid too big like the pickle jar I had.

I still help her to open the jar when needed.She love this jar opener. One click and around 10s. Pop … it opened!Great one and highly recommend this product.

This Jar Opener definitely did not perform as adverstised. The first time I tried to use it, it locked down on the jar lid, motor started and was making a very loud noise. The device rotated slightly, stopped moving and never restarted, all the while making a loud noise. Luckily Amazon makes returning items easy these days, so I took my brand new jar opener with the jar still in its unyielding grip back to the UPS store to be returned. I replaced the automatic opener with a hand-grip jar/bottle opener.

Really struggling with bottles and jars so this has made it so much easier! Works perfectly.

It does open jars well, but it's not really as easy as one touch. You have to hold the button down and wait for the inner and outer clamps to make contact with the jar and lid before you can let go. Once the jar lid opens, there is no off button so you have to wait for both sets of clamps to open alllll the wayyyyy back up for the device to turn off. It takes longer for the clamps to close and open than it does to open the jar so a lot of battery gets wasted. The device is very loud.

My 74 year old mother struggles with opening jars and bottles, often putting them back on the shelf out of frustration. Saw this nifty gadget in a TikTok video and thought, that is it!!! She has used it several times and has commented, “this is the best thing yet you’ve bought me.”
