I purchased this product because the one from the pharmacy started leaking. I liked the large size of this item, however, the amount of gel is so little that if you lay it down, it's a barely enough to spread out inside the envelope, and as a result, doesn't stay cold for very long.

I pop this in refrigerator & when I need it, it's the perfect temp for cooling neck pain. Being small it does not stay cold a very long time. So I might suggest 2. But it lasts about 15 min. It lasts longer if frozen. It is well made & I like the feel of the covering.

I had bought an ice pack last year (not from here) but didn’t hold out on the job to help recover from hip surgery. This however is brilliant. Keeps cold for long periods of time & easier to use.
